  • i would love to see the fingerings for this. just started shedding it out on the upright myself

  • I too just started shedding Blues for Alice. I sounds like CP was hearing a bass player in his head when he wrote it. You did a great job!

  • Great!

  • you are a fine upright player. wish you sang, too!

  • Awesome dude, I have a special place for this tune in my heart. Blues for alice is what I played for my college auditions. That piece got me in to music school w/ alot of money

  • I just learned this head a week ago...it's not easy! it's nice hearing your solo ideas on it. (I needed some inspiration)

  • great playing, technique, musicianship.

I watched all of your videos on utube, and i'm a big fan.

you've been a great influence. cheers.

  • Thanks, much appreciated! Im of the mind that in general, too many notes have been played in all of these videos...but it was a quandary I faced without having other supporting musicians present, trying to keep the music interesting and captivating for the listener/watcher

  • awesome! I'm working on that head right now and I wish I had your articulation.

  • great!!!

  • practice practice practice and micromanage fine details slowly...also Zimmerman's book of bowing technique was helpful...I just applied string crossings and played it pizzicato...plus lots of exercises in invented

  • really like this....
