  • LOL, did she just ask what language can you speak? XD 0:32

  • F'n cool , living Kauai ,LOTS'ahh Mina birds. Intend to teach say '" ALOHA'"

  • yea im really concerned in the health conditions of both these lovely birds not only should they be in one cage together because they enjoy being in colony but ther ecages are really dirty and so small that they risk wing fusion. i hope who ever posted this will seek more knowledge of these beautiful creatures. do they are shorting the life span of some of gods greatest creations.

  • yo jiao le means "they're yelling again" must have picked it up from a local lol

  • toddy1968 you are scum. Go to hell and keep your delirious ideas to your bloody self

  • Toddy1968 funk you. What the hell are you yapping on about the the chinese derive pleasure from mistreating animals? Are you bloody out of your freaking mind? Ur American, how would you like it if I saw one American murderer and said "American, aren't capable of anything apart from killing"?

  • hao

  • so funny sounds little to little old chinese ladies talking. my old starling did same thing just some words sounded like a guy with lung cancer & hole in throat

  • this is the way mynah birds dance!

  • Awesome but I feel sorry for them in those tiny cages :/

  • @WheresMyPimp Yeah, at least give them a cage 5 times bigger. Beautiful birds.

  • shut up surftreasures the birds are well taken care of

  • The birds are in FILTHY conditions- the water looked pathetic. They're out in the sun, no shade- this is SAD. I had a mynah and they deserve MUCH better than this.

  • wow that bird is so intelligent even i cant speak chinese

  • time to clean those cages

  • Yep it's tough for an American to speak Mandarin - so I learned Japanese. Much easier. Pronunciation all comes from the sounds you learn before age 5, I think. If we don't hear the difference we can't speak the difference.

  • @europanya

My GF is Japanese. I'm leaning slowly and surely when i go back to Japan i have to know more than the last time i saw her.. you are 100%correct. Japanese is much easier than chinese or Korean.

  • This is depressing. I wouldn't put a budgie in those cages.

  • It's all Greek to me.

  • oh shit! thats freaky

  • oh wow!!! nice

  • When I was in Shanghai I saw way worse than this. You should see the condition of the dogs and cats. I think the Chinese actually derive pleasure out of mistreating animals. They don't seem to be capable of much else. And just think what they'll do to us when they're able to take over the USA and own white people?

  • Poor souls, living in such horrible conditions so Sad.

  • These birds are amazing!

  • NIHAO!

  • my driving school kept a large myna near its backroom. The first time I walked next to it, it "meowed" at me. Then, when I looked at it, it asked, "how are you?"

    scared me at first...lol

  • Clean the poor birds cage and give them FRESH WATER and FOOD!!!

  • @oleainatoivo No kidding, what's with the Chinese having no respect for animals?

  • Comment removed

  • Animal enjaulado! que absurdo!

  • The bird's Chinese is better than the guy's.

  • @chimedici LOL that's what i thought!

  • Culture - always a great excuse for cruelty. So sad to see these gorgeous and intelligent birds locked up in tiny cages. I'll go and cuddle my free flying parrot now, makes me sad.

  • u gotta be careful with what u say around these birds, u wouldn't want them to talk dirty when people with a good impression of u are around. ;P

  • I bet any money, in ancient days...when original man heard these birds in trees mimicking humans speech they thought the trees where talking.....

  • Haaaaahhaah ni hao !! now ask him to speak french and swahili,i don't think they can understand the words they say,but they can sometime form an association between certain expressions and actions, the Myna birds of India and the African parrots are the best talking birds in the world...

  • 0:28, 0:29: "yaò bŭ yaò xí gè zhàó" [want don't-want wash a bath] = would you like a bath? (x2)

0:30 "hŭn luè ah" [very tired exclamation] = i am tired / you must be tired (and it droops its beak downward, mimicking its owner's body language too!)

The narrator sounds like an American tourist with a phrase book -- he's trying to say "ní hàó mā?" [you well inquiry? = how are you?], but he's totally tone-mute, so it comes out "nī haō ma", which is gibberish.

  • @Gilmoy no one here is looking for a chinese language lesson. so just shut the fuck up

  • Don't you realize how hard it is for an English speaker to learn a Chinese language, or vice versa? Give the guy a break!

  • @Gilmoy

And you can speak other languages perfect?

  • @Gilmoy

  • OH MY GOD!

I saw that exact bird in China :O

    like omg

  • sounds like he is saying "bu yao xiao le!"

  • I think it's "you xiao le", as in "laughing again"

  • this video is a brilliant vision in itself- the scream of instrumental purity at the end...

  • "You xiao le (laughing again) ... He he he he he!"

  • cute and smart bird, but if the cage is larger will be much better

  • i like this bird =)

  • I am sorry but I will not keep my comments to myself!!! A bird living in a cage is cruel!!!

  • I hope to god you have never had a pet in your life.

  • Anyone know where I can find a pet Mynah? I would like one very much.

  • very clever...^_^

  • Yes, tiny cages = poor birds! In Thailand, I witnessed hundreds of birds in even smaller cages (hanging on porches for decoration), in extremely hot weather (100 degrees and humid as hell) - no shade either! What a "great" life. But who cares, when it dies, you just get a new one - grrrrr!

  • "You xiao le!" - "Ohh it's laughing again!"

Hahahaha I've wanted one since a Mynah bird in Catania, Italy cat-called and said "Buena sera."

  • Wow, they seem cooler than African Grays! It's almost spooky how well they mimic the voices.

  • ni hao!^^,.. watta cute voice like a kid

  • good lord... small enough cages???

  • Cruelty to animals it's just as simple as that..enough said

  • Yes, little fucking cages

  • No need to be ignorant. Your definition of cruelty to animal may be different from that of somebody's in China. I'm pretty sure the owners love their birds. The birds have good mimicking skills and a lot of time caring for the birds is needed. Until you understand the difference's of culture, keep your blatant statements to yourself.

  • im pretty sure the bird would have liked to fly even though its owners love it.

  • @BeyondTheBboy fyi, it has NOTHING to do with "culture'" What a pathetic excuse for you. It's either cruelty or not and is the difference between a civilized person and a savage. Nobody is going to sit quietly for cruelty, i don't care if you're a primitive borneo aborigine, or a smug fat clown in an urban environment.

  • these birds are fantastic!

  • well, simply put..why are you keeping these birds in cages?

Find something else to entertain you, and release these animals. wake up.

  • Yes the mimic of a great hill Mynah bird is usually very clear . its quite amazing really .!

  • those cages are too small :( they're beautiful birds

  • "you xiao le" = laugh again

  • wow! it said that then the other one laughed! theyre so smart

  • i mean the "realness" is so close! there is even the chinese accent

  • their voice seemed so real

  • thats because it is real, minor birds are well known for being extremely brilliant talkers, possibly the best
