BIG QUESTION: my ps3 first gen. 60gb (upgraded to 640Gb) just got the yellow lights of death meaning its dead. She had a good 4 - 5 year life span, now i have the option of trading it in for the ps3 slim for 99.99$ or getting mine repaired for 130$ (the differences i think are bullshit but whatever) what should i do!!! i love the 4 usb ports etc. And i have seen the slim in action and it seems like it freezes a lot. Does it freeze more then the fat? someone please help me choose!!!

No offence but slim looks crap. Fat looks nice an has more features, backwards compatability is important (gta vice city and San andreas come on) at expense of overheating but that's shit it only overheats if u play it 5 hours straight.

No point in a ps4 as there is no new technology worth putting into the system. So ps3 60gb for me I will eventually upgrade to 1tb

The first version has 4 controler ports, Plays Ps2 games and a switch that turns off the console completely. Plus it has a attractive glossy finish.

the slim has nothin over the fat one ,cept for wel size but dosent matter fat loads faster has more features, bacwords compatablity up to on tera gig (slim can only go up to 350) and ell the fat one just looks clasyer

Personally I like the old one better in terms of looks. However, I am sure there are some minor functional improvements on the slim. I have the old PS3 and have had no issues. I have fixed a few peoples old PS3's, the problem was the hard drive died due to the fact they kept it enclosed and it overheated.

i have ps2 slim and friend has ps 2 original !

and i compared them both and the original ps2 was better ! plus the original one reded the games beter than the slim! and the slim had more problems! and it usualy got overheated much faster than my friends original ps2 ! i know im not talking about ps3 but thats jusat a tip to better get the original Ps3 ! ;) cuz slim overheats faster and you cantput Linux on it ! xD

I don't care what anybody says, the original looks beautiful but the slim looks very sleek in my opinion, and the matte finish doesn't make look cheap at all...remember the original PS2? I wasn't convinced by the pictures until I was able to "touch" one in-store the other day and they feel VERY high quality, but just lighter.
