Unkle hasn't been the same since Dj Shadow is no longer involved in the project. Im not convinced of Lavelles musical contribution to Unkle because when Shadow was out of the project the music changed to much for it not to be noticed Shadow had a big hand in the sound of the first Unkle album, which is by the far the best. I always see it as a kind of follow up to DJ Shadows entroducing. These days I dont like the newer Unkle stuff
