Scarling shows how much Jessicka has grown from Jack Off Jill and that she has matured as an artist. I loved Jack Off Jill but Scarling has a sophisticated, early 90's shoegaze feel to their songs. Especially this song, it would of been a big hit in '93 or '95
It's really about mixing the volumes in studio, she doesn't need to sing any louder. As a huge noise rock fan I personally love Scarling's loud & buzzing guitars though. But I can see your point :)
