Wow...I'm glad I came here. I've used Pro Tools, Cubase, Record, Ableton, FL Studio...now I only use Cockos Reaper. But this thing is VERY seductively intriguing. I may have to give this a test drive. I've heard of Magix Samplitude but never paid any mind to it...until now.
@pitolove71 Oh, one more thing, ATTENTION! If anyone has used Reaper & Samplitude, can you please tell me which one sounds better? Perhaps one has better coding & thus a much better sound? Thanks.
can't record anything in the trial version...evry time i press the 'r' key an error msg pops out "microsoft sound mapper can not record this format"..i'm not putting my money on it
@heavypulse Hello, we are sorry for your problems with our software. Most of the times crashes are caused by the computer's individual settings instead of the software itself. I would recommend you to post your hardware and software configuration and detailed description of the problem on our community website magix.info and - in case they can't help you - forward it to the MAGIX support. They should be able to solve your problem.
@wwwmagixcom I've had no crashes with 11.5 Producer and have been using Magix since Music Studio 2004, BUT, you guys really need to move up to 64 bit with the same setup as 11.5 or 11 Pro, then I wouldn't have to use 2 DAW's, I have 16 gigs and Samplitude doesn't utilize that because it's 32 bit :( BUT awesome program anyway, love the MIDI functionality, it's the primary reason I use it
@wwwmagixcom Hi, I am just starting out with recording electric guitar and will just program drums and bass and will also be using a whole lotta VSTs. Can you tell me why i should go for Magix instead of Reaper?
I've been with Samplitude since it formerly known SEK'D Samplitude brand starting from version Samplitude Master into every version to current! Including Sequoia (My Dawg!!!) Does not matter what studio I am in or what program a composition was recorded on: it ALL ends in editing, mixing and mastering in Magix Samplitude/Sequoia!!! I've converted Pro studios in Knoxville, TN to Samplitude Lovers after they saw me using it in their studios! Didn't I mention I've been using it since version 3 :)~
Does this record at 24 bit and would it work in a new quadcore desktop? What USB interface works best with this? I just tried Cakewalk Music Creator 5 and could not get it to work at all. I have a 6 year old Edirol UA-5 USB interface that could be not recognized by Music Creator. I've used this interface very successfully with Magix Studio Deluxe 2005 the last six years but it only records at 16 bits. Is there a big difference between 16 and 24 bit recording? I'll be making a master CD.
A very nice program except for one thing: its audio engine and CPU efficiency seems to be half or less that of Sonar. It crashes audio when using certain plugins (Izotope Ozone on the main bus for realtime mastering monitoring, for one), showing 160% CPU use and other error messages. Sonar shows 35% for the same load.
Love the tecchnical depth of Samp 11, but the above behavior is a lockout for me. No midi instrument defiinitions available, either. I use modules and keys to lessen CPU.
@tharemedybeats You made the right choice. I've tried pro tools and it wasn't for me, because a simple thing you want to do on samplitude, will take twice the time on pro tools. I've done all my songs on samplitude and I can honestly say, that i'm a LOYAL costumer to MAGIX. Come to my channel and listen to my songs (all done on samplitude "music studio") but if done on SAMPLITUDE PRODUCER, it'll blow pro tools out the fuckin water.
@rockhopper123452 I'm not famous, but I've done ALL of my songs with magix samplitude MUSIC STUDIO, basically the light version of this, and EVERYONE thinks I go to a professional recording studio when it's all from this program. I was able to immitate Bow Wow's Vocal quality/clarity/effects on chris brown's "fan of a fan" mixtape. I was able to immitate Wiz Khalifa's quality/clarity/effects from his song "This Plane". I've used both samplitude & pro tools. Samplitude SHITS on pro tools.
@rockhopper123452 you can't be sure, that there's someone working with magix, going to pop-up and become a famous any-time. + software/hardware doesn't matter, it matters how you use/benefit it.
@rockhopper123452 Whether or not anyone "famous" uses it, it is still an awesome program and cheaper than most, I have used it forever and it is the easiest interface to work with I have found so far :D
As usual, loads of questions but no one from Magix bothers to answer, just like with their Customer Support. I was considering giving this a go but I want to know if a notation feature is included before I even bother to download any trial.
This movie is a typical crappy marketing movie that gives no useful information.
@oneguyincalifornia This is the Samplitude 11 Producer also known as Samplitude Music Studio 16(Europe Version) This is the U.S Version and this is the - LITE Version of the software,Standard is better and Professional is even better :) but cost's a lot more.I have this software Music studio(E.U Version) and its a very good and powerful software. And for the price of 80 Euro's i think it's worth :) Give it a try at.Magix.com
