good video. the ironic thing is that the cop that supposedly racially profiled actually taught other cops on how to not racially profile. this gates guy followed the cops out onto the porch as they were leaving, still yelling when they he finally crossed the line. if he had been white they probably would have arrested him for being difficult by refusing to come out and show his i.d. ''yo' mama'' a 'scholar' who has a reputation of being a race baiter. they should have locked him up for a while.

I reported off of memory and tried to add a little humor to it. I honestly thought he locked himself out but he didn't. Racist are a lot more obvious than me and make it clear they don't like black people. My sister is half-black not that it matters and i give a black guy a ride to work everyday and we are going to an amusement park on the 8th. I will admit when reporting on this i was wrong but you should not judge someone that way.

When he tried to open the door using the key, he found that it was jammed, at which point he and his driver tried to force the door open. Once the cop had established it was his home, he should have been on his way. He acted STUPIDLY and wantonly end of story. If it were white man's home it wouldn't even be a news story, as said cop would have acted differently

The 911 caller, Lucia Whalen, works next door at harvard magazine. The magazine has done many articles on him and his work. He is one of the prides of Harvard University. She didn't recognize that the person trying to get back into his house was Dr. Gates? What was wrong with her?

Despite numerous attempts by media to interview her she's not talking. Why? Because she knows she acted recklessly and stupidly.

I think you may have it twisted. Lucia Whalen ONLY made the call. It was actually an old lady who alerted her (Lucia Whalen) to the break-in, so the old lady could be bigoted in her thinking. It also begs the quesiton, hadn't this old lady ever seen Mr Gates in the neighborhood?

Just because i am white and i am sick of people pulling the race card when that is not even an option for me is not racist. She said they were hispanic. She refered to race. And when the police arrived she said they were black. Gates is light skinned, and could look latino to a cop!
