@ShivaIndis Sega CD's version was too sudden for me. I liked it on SSSC where he asks if Luna is the one so that they could protect the girl from the Magic Emperor. And then when he found out the truth... that's when his plan could be enacted.
For a talent show in the 9th grade, I rallied a whole bunch of my gamer friends to re-enact this scene. It took us two months of arduous preparation and close to $200 to get everything as faithful to the scene as we could....$200 and two months for a 2 minute scene. Was it worth it...? The audience gave us a 5 minute standing ovation, and to this day have people refer to me as Magic Emperor Ghaleon. You tell me.
@kainemaxwell sadly even though a lot of people brought cam-corders, I'm only in touch with one of them, and I'm not so sure she still even has the tape. I'll ask her, and if she has it, will upload it and let you know.
I think Ghaleon was way too good... He could have taken out Alex and his party at any point throughout the game, until the final battle [which all he had to do then was, hold off Alex with some trick or magic until he got the full power of the Goddess...] But, instead he basically wanted to lose!
Guess if he was Dyne's good friend he couldn't truly be evil...
I think they pretty much explained in the story that Ghaleon wasn't truly evil, just a little jealous and koo-koo. He was more misguided and didn't know what he was actually doing at the time.

Win. Ghaleon's my all time favorite villain and my role model, for better or for worse. Clever, cunning, witty, powerful, scornful; he embodies what a true villain should be. Probably the manliest bishonen character ever. Also, he's one of the most quotable characters in the last decade of gaming.
Besides perfecting Ghaleon's voice, John Truitt also narrated in Dragon Force for the playstation, another cult classic. He was a remarkable voice actor, I wish he would have furthered his career.
This guy is a legend in RPG's in all his incarnations. You have to respect the way he masterfully played even a dragon god until he got what he needed. Badass!
The Lunar series isnt as popular as FF but if I were to choose someone to rival Sephiroth this guy would be my first pick.
His just not as well known as an other silver haired anti-hero!

@theMycon What I meant by both is storywise. Storywise Lunar Legend and Harmony are the same thing as the PSX version. However, I will agree that CDs story is good, but mechanically, I like PSX version better.
His like Darth Vader in number of ways. He was once a great hero, but ended up turning becoming a great evil (complete with a menacing suit of armor), and in the squeal by the end he turns on a greater evil because he's good again.
Which villain in menacing do think has the most menacing armor? For me, it's Sauron from live action Lord of the Rings trilogy, after that it's the Lich King from Warcraft.
idk, maybe its just me but torturously enslaving a dragon and then using him as a power source seems a wee bit more savage and evil than simply killing him outright.
It was a joke--maybe not a very good one but still, there's no reason to get bent out of shape over it.
Speaking of magic vs. technology and the World of Lunar, remember what Ghaleon did with the dragons he captured with his "energy ball which was composed of 100% magic": Powered a machine which is TECHNOLOGY.
In short, go outside, get some fresh air--I think it would do you some good.
What's the diff in sega cd and the rest. I loved the game on that platform, and now i own a ps2 and want the game again. Are there any real differecnes in the 2?
