Your images are fantastic!! But do you work with an intell mac? I am working with an EX1 but I cannot see any of the images. I installed FCP6 but it still does not work.
Did Sony produce a camera that will only work with Intell?
jagstanguk . THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST IMAGE I'VE SEEN IN YOUTUBE, even better than some pro works thats on cable television.I am debating between This camera and the JVC GY HD110.
What's your magic setting in FCP to get your vids to look so crisp on YouTube? I know you have a great camera, but I have shot in HD with the Canon XH A1, then YouTube's compression killed it. I'm getting the EX1 next week, so maybe you can share your compression tips? - Thanks in advance!
Just want to praise you on another fantastic short film. The quality of the EX1 just shines through the youtube compression but more importantly you have an eye for a good shot
0:44 is that a mattebox filter or just colour correction? looks like the Cokin tobacco filter

Yes I use an Intel mac, but I think it should work with non intel. Make sure you get the latest software from sony's biz website

You're the man! These kind of videos are very emotional :)
I like the way you do it. That part, when dog was watching in the camera with sad face was awesome. I like it ;)

I really need your opinion.

I think the JVC is HDV, get the EX1, much better quality!

you use no 35mm adapter? Really?

no, I wish I earned money every time I was asked if I used a 35mm adapter for my filming :)

Hello I agree your footage looks stunningly clear. What do you mean about setting quicktime to 5000?

That's the bitrate of the video.

For You Tube I export 640x480 h.264 quicktime at 5000 kbps. If the file goes over 100Mb then star reducing bitrate till it fits.
I hope You Tube increase display res soon!

This video doesn't have a "watch in high quality" link, but you can just append &fmt=18 to the URL to see the high quality version...

Oh, and by the way, great video :-)

Hey its fantastic! that colors i've not seen in any camcorder its maybe the sharp control you 've set lower than the normal to get this great colors?

The camera captures colour very well but there s also some grading applied in post, not all of this footage is direct from camera.
