the founding fathers never meant god, they wrote "maker", there were anti church founding fathers as well.
the basic principle, was that poeple should accept that thier rights are above any law that the govt. makes.
you dont have to belive in god, but you do have to accept that some higher power or higher order gave you rights that no govt. can take.
