One band from the C86 era I managed (unfortunately) to miss. Reminds me of 1000 Violins. Got a cat called Benny - not that that's relevant. Great under-the-radar guitar-pop from an era when the charts forced crap like Wham and Level 42 into our unsuspecting minds.
Back in the day, I had Level 42 tippex-ed onto my school bag as well as Yeah Yeah Noh and... Yes! What a crazy mixed-up kid I was :-) Benny Profane were great, 1000 Violins too. Worth picking up the pre-BP releases by the Room too... quality stuff.
these are fantastic. can anyone recommend me similar bands, preferable liverpudlian?
