  • The only game I've played by this company would have been Crusher Castle--I suggest you review that game. That was a fun one, but it did seem a tad on the random side.

  • You can actually play the shareware version online at classicdosgames. com

  • I like Isle Wars, a Risk clone. They still sell those games for like $12/$18 even though K-Mart used to sell registered versions for 99 cents in 1995. Maybe I'll buy one someday since they gave me a ton of hours of... pseudo-enjoyment... eh, f it, $1 is enough! haha

  • I love this game!

  • Joker: HE STOLE MY BALLOONS!

  • Ahhhhhh that logo makes me think of Beatle Run and Quarry. Many hours of rage!

  • Man you had to be clever for those Soleau games, I never was.

  • I miss the cool intro you had some months back. Digged the music. As for the OT, Looks lime a killer mp game. Several layers of strategy and a simple interface.

  • i remember bolo adventures. really tough game from what i can remember.

  • You should doo another minecraft vid! With all the updates and everything, love to see your views on things. And I beileve the last minecraft vid was last year around the same time, so perfect timing?! :D

  • Hey, could you review Blood Money by Psygnosis? (I bought the game and don't have an amiga xD)

  • @darestium I'd love to, but I do not yet own a copy. If I come into possession of it, I'll add it to the list of potential review candidates.

  • @darestium Send it to Pheakindee!

  • Another excellent review here Phreak. I do remember my father having the shareware version of this game when I was still in preschool.

  • You didn't pay $12 for the game, you donated $12 to the company for times you spent enjoying their games over the years.

  • @Anthoric Agreed!

  • I used to play this for hours as a kid. Perhaps it's time to give it another shot.

  • I miss the intro music!

  • I’m curious to know more about the multiplayer mode. What do the setup screens for multiplayer look like? Serial cable to another computer, a network connection with your home computers, online, or all the above? If online how exactly does that work? How many people can you find that are playing? Can't see the benefit to paying for this feature. Even in a home network, you have to have friends, we all know us computer nerds are lacking in that department, ha!

  • @MrShot97 I showed it in the video, it's just hot-seat local multiplayer. 04:18

  • @phreakindee Ha! Yeah even though I heard you I must have been looking off to the side of the screen instead of seeing the human/computer option! I was thinking there was a lack of explanation there, where are the setup screens??? Hot-seat of course! Thanks though!

  • 2:25, dude, you should play Donkey Kong, how high can you get ?

  • Insane... prices ARE still more than 10 bucks... geez...

  • this is shit

  • @rhiannon650 Hello sir who doesn't like balloons.

  • @TheRetroGamerGuy female actually but its just a pretty annoying game looks like..........

  • The Jazz Jackrabbit 2 Video please! :)

  • 4:33 He sounds like Duke Nukem

  • You should review my farts. lololololol jk.

    IDK I'm going nuts today.

  • Going from ballet to PC programming is odd, but was a good change of pace for them, it seems.

  • Good review.

  • I think these were the guys who made "Block Man" - now that was a game I had a lot of fun with as a kid.

  • you should review Clyde's Revenge

  • @IDontDoDrumCovers I have fond memories of both Clyde's Adventure and Revenge. Hope to cover them on LGR someday.

  • @phreakindee i only ever had clydes revenge. i remember scarying my self while playing pretending that some unknown enemy was after me

  • I love it when you review an old dos game with no music and the video slowly fades with the bleeps and bloops from the pc speaker.

  • @CornerBoy Awesome, I love ending videos that way :)

  • A very interesting yet incredibly simple design.

I've been looking into doing some IOS games (though you have to use a friggin' Mac to upload the files - Damn Apple being PC hating douchebags), so this might be a nifty idea to expand upon for a quick and easy game.

Unity's IOS extension costs $500, so I'm not entirely sold on the idea yet as it may be tough to make the money back.

  • Hey, have you ever played the Penumbra/Amnesia games? I'd love to hear your thoughts on them.

  • Soleau Games? Hmmm, I got to ask qhere is the revies of Mice Maze!!!

    (i miss my 386 SX)

  • Haha I remember Soleau software!

  • Went to Soleau.com, I love how his "New Game Releases" are 15 year old games. :)

  • @BrianPicchi It's like Software Dynamic's website (sdispace.com), it's frozen in time. Makes you wonder what remains of these companies and if they actually buys the ancient software they're still apparently selling.

  • ahhh pcspeaker :)

  • Clint, Im confused, how do i get my balls to drop. Is there a glitch in the system?

  • ballet dancer to programmers?

    Are you serious?

  • I've been trying to find this game for ages, I forgot the name and was unable to find it.. until now. Thank you again for the nostalgia :D

  • I find it very ominous that you can order 7 or more DOS games for $6.66 per game from Soleau.

  • I am still waiting for my Balls to drop..........

  • Id want the game on iOS. With all the original sounds

  • Just curious, do you still have any old hardware that you haven't reviewed yet?

  • @BeeFive13 A ton. It's just it takes a LOT of work to put together a video (properly) about hardware. So they happen rarely.

  • @phreakindee but I honestly hope, there will be a ton of them. Because i love your hw reviews!

  • wow, never heard of it. simple and yet fun, classic DOS i should say.

check out sokoban, pretty mind puzzling too.

  • omg even the soleau website looks like something straight from the 90s! nostalgia overload!

  • Hey clint, any rage review in the near futur ?

  • @alanw3000 Quite possibly, yes. Likely near the end of the month.

  • @phreakindee Thanks , Can't wait to see it !

  • Oh man, Ant run... now that was a classic

  • Hi Clint! You know, I was wondering if have planned some kind of Apple / Mac history ( or such ) video , especially now with Steve Jobs passing away? (RIP)

    PS. loved the review!

  • @Lintto1 I don't have anything in particular planned, as I've posted several things already on my various LGR forums (Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc). I may do something if I get the chance, but those kinds of videos often take weeks of planning, and I'd have to pretty much drop every other video I have in the works right now to do so.

  • Ahh the Shareware scene. Oh the memories..

  • Hmm.. doping balls to score.

  • Looks interesting. I don't recall if I ever heard of this before.

  • Oh that mouse looks an awful like my PS/2 style mouse for my Acorn Archie A3000. :)

  • 6th?

  • What the hell, girls blowing balloons in the related videos

  • @GOOBENsticks Yea... strange. But the word "balloon" is surprisingly similar to the word "balloon".

  • @mocthezuma Yes, but the title and description have almost nothing else similar. I'm sure there are more videos on YouTube with the words "balloon" that does not involve girls blowing them. So it's pretty random.

  • @GOOBENsticks Girls like to blow balloons?

  • Finding these old innovative games is one of the joys of retrogaming. Just a hint and soon popcap will re-release this game and claim it is their own invention :P

  • Do you know about a really terrible alphabet game from the 80s for the IBM DOS PC. It had digitized voice.

  • Holy crap! I totally forgot about this game. Thanks for the nostalgia!

  • Omg nice, like always i love u reviews
