  • While Christians co-opted Pagan festivals, we certainly are not Pagans. Read the Bible. "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." - Exodus 22:18

If anything, it was an attempt to destroy Paganism.

  • I agree great video i am a Wiccan, people think its only been around 50 plus *Plus* years thats where they are wrong, Wiccan is from the older pagans into the new era, therefor its much much ,much older then christainty, christanity there *god* killed so many ppl in his name than any oter in world history i dont know bout you but thats scary :S

  • @XwannabeXfamousX jesus was killed by the romans, then they took over his church. so how did he win over the romans? hmm... also there is no evidence kaaba was built by abraham except your quran. that doesnt constitute empyrical evidence. something dumb? slinging insults is a sign of intellectual immaturity. muhammed was a pagan during the time the muslims refer to jahiliyah. then jibrail apparently revealed to him the quran. muhammeds ascent through the 7 heavens on a magic horses is astrology

  • @XwannabeXfamousX its not a fact that jesus was descended from abraham because there is no evidence abraham ever existed. judaism is 3 thousand years old? i didnt learn my history? so you are saying that judaism has existed only one thousand years before the common era.. i find this odd.. since moses was said to have been in egypt during the rule of Ramesses the Great, which ruled from 1279 BC – 1213 BC, not to mention those which probably came before.

  • @XwannabeXfamousX pagan means non-abrahamic. the abrahamic religions borrowed from pagan religions. this cannot be denied with any seriousness. many scholars agree that the jewish god began as a tribal deity. paganism didnt infiltrate anything. 2 million years of human history. judaism is how old? about 5 thousand? jesus stopped the romans? i find this statement ironic considering they crucified him, then the roman empire and constantinople became christian empires and with the ecunemical counci

  • I am Christian and I know where you might be getting at but, we may have the same festivities as pagan religions to celebrate our holidays, but that does not mean that we believe in those pagan religions. It's not like all of us, christians are thinking about where we got the certain festivities from, we're just doing it for the children since they can't understand what the christian religion really means yet. So just keep that in mind. Thanks! ;)

  • OMGod! You had me in agreement with you until you tried to involve the Cross. The Cross is a remembrance of the crucifixion tool used to kill Christ. We did not choose this implement of death the Romans did. Sad and true that many of the things you say coincide to factual information, but when "the church" is crusading around the world forcing/asking people into Christianity it will become corrupt. In fact by forcing believers to attend more harm has been done than good. P.S. your kinda angry!

  • @JesusRaisedIsLife4Ev well the cross was an ancient pagan symbol. but then again many symbols are universal. im not angry by the way. well.. i guess you can say im passionate. im passionate about teaching what im learned. people are failing to see the pagan origins. its the way i do a lot of my videos. i just have a very intense nature. thank you for commenting. my question is this: why? and what now? dont you think the truth is important? a universal theme seems to be in all religion though.

  • @taliesin939939 The thing is I was atheist most of my childhood not because of choice but because no one had ever really sat me down told me anything about a God who may exist. I was so misinformed about Christianity that as a child I believed that Jesus did not exist. I know better now and was really kinda bothered that there was not anyone who sat me down or tried to inform me. You know what though, I am now very great full no one did I was able to read for myself and find truth instead of lie

  • @JesusRaisedIsLife4Ev i do believe that the field of compaarative religion is a science. how much does astronomy really effect our everyday lives? none! but religion effects everyone. Religion should be analyzed and should not escape the analytical eye due to the political correct fact tthat people believe it. there is a truth int he universe. comparing and contrast, looking at history. perhaps the pieces to the jigsaw puzzle can be found. maybe future generations will discover the truth.

  • @taliesin939939 Sure it can be defined as a science or rather examined from a scientific point of view. I don't believe in religions though. I believe in Christianity. The difference being a God who came in the flesh not some invisible unknown or imaginary God but a God who reveals Himself to those who receive Him through power and miracles.

  • wow this is fascinating. I never knew that about the Goddess Easter. You could be a great professor in this kind of study. I hope you follow through with your goal.

  • @CityFolkOracle Thank you. Well.. that WAS my plan, but i learned that professors are censored :(. So I was going to teach Comparative Religion and I have my bachelors working on my M.A... so now I'm not sure what to do. Thanks for the encouragement. By the way.. Easter is the same as "Ostara." It's just another name. And the rabbit (really the hare) is her sacred animal and eggs were given in her honor. She is sometimes linked to Ishtar, Astarte, and Asteroth. Although.. I'm not sure.

  • Damn right!
