Putting your hand back on the wheel after every shift is NOT proper. That's the reason you missed the gear. If it's shown that way in the Fast and Furious movie, it's because they don't want to get sued over other kids driving without both hands on the wheel.  The only place it's proper is in drivers' ed.

@TheSib real reason why the hand would go back to the steering wheel after shifting is because on a track or any enjoyable road you need two hands on the steering wheel for the turns. try catching a oversteering car with 1 hand, chances are you overcorrect and are off to visit the bunnies in the shrubery.

It may have just been a stage 1 basic vortech or rms unit or a poor tune. Basic supercharger on e36 m3's would only yield like 280-290hp. But i agree with you, the g37 was stock..

At the time of this race all the M3 has is the basic VF kit (6psi) and NO TUNE. The kit was only a month old and my G37 was a week old. He is running stage2 now with a different intake manifold and 8psi and still not tuned.

Honestly, I like the way the G37 look better than the 335's. But 335 performed slightly better than the slightly lower price G37. I'd go for the G37 for reliability, turbo cars just does not last long compared to a n/e cars.

yeah right... but it all depends how u treat ur car...if u havea turbo car, and u treat it like a crap, then it won't last long for sure .... on the other hand if u dpo the same to a n/a motor, it'll break too... but yeah Japanese cars have the most selling cars in the market, bcuz of reliability....

with all do respect, american vehicles have taken a turn for the best in the past few years. yes, some vehicles have crappy interior, ill give you that. but for the most part, if who ever has an american car didnt drive it into the ground, then they would see that it too can be a relible car. chrysler, gm, and ford's new lineup of vehicles in recent years have been quite an improvement.

yeah, with both the 2010 mustang and the new Camaro the interior quality has dramatically improved compared to the early 2000 models. However, chrysler still hasn't caught up with the rest. The new Challenger was a let down interior rise, everything else was a success though.
