The shadows on the dock were really distracting, yes, I know that softer shadows would have meant longer rendered time, but regardless, those shadows are too jagged. However, the rest of the animation is AMAZING!!! I loved this! You could work for SCEA (Sony Computer Entertainment America) and do some work for them. Did you also do all of the modeling?
@10chadjordan01 Hi Chad! Thanks for your comment! You are totally right about the shadows, they look rubbish :) I only noticed the problem with the shadows after I rendered... As this was a college project, unfortunately I didn't have time to re-render! And yes, I did all the modelling. If you search 'ricardocookmartins' in google you will find my blog, theres some better shots there of the characters :)
@apach1 Dude! My admiration just sky rocketed even higher for this video! A school project!!?? I know all too well about time constraints, possible lack of resources and the stress that can come with meeting those time lines. I just finished the portion of a project for my department. By the end of the semester, even though it was decent, it still didn't meet my expectations. This is amazing though for having such little time! Great job man!
