Hi, i've got a 8 and a half month old beardie called sydney, i was just wondering, isn't the food supposed to be smaller than the space between his eyes? or is it different for adults? thanks.
cant wait till i get my baby beardie in a week :) any tips to help me getting him to eat salads if he dosent right awayy would be awesome :) also the Chameleon was a beast at eating that grub!
I have a german giant male as big as her and only 6-7 months old, just sub adult. he looks very similar in colour.... maybe a little darker on the tale but very very orange all over his back with buitiful patterns.... I would love to breed him but unfortunaltly I ended up with two males instead..... Im in Peterborough...
I feed them a varied diet with Locust which they love, tried calci worms but I found undigested worms in the poop so stopped feeding them,I have given them waxworms as a treat and just ordered some fruit beetles as a treat too.I give them fresh spring green as a staple and sometimes a little cabbage/ kale/ fruit finely chopped/ herb's /flower mix. My beardies are still jumpy and can be difficult to handle, is this just the age? I use calci dust every feeding and vitimin suppliment once per week.
Hi,Im after clarification, I have two beardies.. approx 6 months old one is approx 16inches the other around 14.. I was told that they are German Giants but Im not sure yet. the larger of the two is now sub adult and the smaller will soon be, I was woundering how much I should be feeding them. I give them approx 50 crickets a feeding and two feedings a day. they seem to eat the majority and they eat any greens you put in. I planned to reduce to to one feeding a day in a few month.
What a beautiful beardie so orange and bright. Mine is more of a light brown and a little bit of orange. I call the bright red and orange dragons fire beardies xD
DUDE why do you feed him with tweezers?!?! I do it with my bare hands!

Can mealworms, superworms, and different vegtables be a staple for beardies?

Do you know the nutritional values of fruit beetles? I might get some for my leo.

@ChrizG156 They are like most grubs and very high in fat. They are an occasional treat rather than a regular food item.
