I never played it. It was apparently a disaster and pretty much died a quick death. It's a shame, but many of the 8-bit programmers struggled to recapture their glory days when moving onto the more modern platforms. I remember Mike Singleton's awful Lords of Midnight game for the PC - what a load of poo that was.
About on par with c64's 'International Soccer', speed and playwise. Not as colorful, granted, but it IS clever to distinguish the player you control from your teammates via the boots.
I figured out the menu controls later when I was more awake. How embarrassing that it had me stumped at the time. I wasn't very awake to be fair though.
Should be called International Mincing Day, judging by the way the players move.
