  • nice work mate, even if it's not my style. In the record shops i've heard so much crap and this one doesn't hurt my ears. ;)

  • Why do people give a thumbs down for this....the guy is doing his best, don`t like it DON`T COMMENT ! Peace to you my friend and great tune btw. :) Peace.

  • @Draakie100 thanks a lot :-)

  • @nervmichnich M8,I can`t stand negative people, especially when someone is doing their best and the tune is gr8 ! About synts,I have a small Cubase/Pro-Tools set up and I have learned that you can be a professor in "sytholegy" and still not know all.(Btw; The EMX has one awesome little synth).Peace to you my friend ;)

  • I had to stop it cause it sounded like trance, lol. You should perhaps take more time naming vids.

  • @VisionsofSprode and what is "trance" a subgenre of? Sorry, but this is more an EMX video. Not a "look what music genres I know" video...

  • @nervmichnich Well duh this isn't a "look what music genres you know" video because you don't know a single one I'm betting! But anyways, if you aren't sure what the genre is then don't put it down, electronic music listeners are the number one bitchiest fans when it comes to genre appropriations and liberties and fuck ups (just ask tech house and fidget). I came to this video to find techno song made from an EMX and I found a disappointment. APOLOGIZE IMMEDIATELY! (that was a joke, kinda)

  • @VisionsofSprode Somehow the narrow-minded are always guidance resistant.. however, I bear with you ;-)

THIS video is actually a Techno tune since "Techno" is the generic term for plenty of electronic genres. And there's a simple rule: If you don't like it, don't watch it. And you better take some lessons in discussing respectfully.

  • @nervmichnich I wouldn't have watched it if the video had a different more appropriate title. I am sure I am not the only one here who would have done that. Techno is a distinct electronic genre....only lazy people classify everything as techno, like yourself. Seriously. How about you try some guidance and google techno and hear what the people have to say about it. Lumping everything together under techno takes away the unique characteristics of the music and where it came from.

  • @VisionsofSprode I chose "techno" as a title to avoid exactly these discussions about genres and what it is and what it not is and stuff. This track has Trance and House influences. My decision has nothing to do with lazyness, unawareness and what not. If you don't like it, why don't you just block my vids? ;)

Because I'm obviously unable to meet your expectations: As long as 'techno' is a generic term this is a techno tune. Period!

  • @nervmichnich It's not generic. You're just a stubborn idiot who doesn't know where techno came from or it's backstory. That's cool though, I knew you were an idiot from the start. Please don't make videos about things you don't know about. You're just adding to the absolutely idiocy of youtube these days. BTW, this song is terrible.

  • @VisionsofSprode for that you earn nothing more than a contemptuous laugh: lol

  • this is more like a trance, anyway, cool track

  • this is no techno. is house

  • @alexsennatube house is a subgenre of techno. So this is actually a techno tune. But I don't really care what genre you want to call it. At least it's electronic music ;)

  • @nervmichnich Its so funny to me how much people freak out about the slightest difference of genre !

  • @Flipjunkie1 and I called it "techno" to avoid these discussions.. sadly I failed :D

  • This machine is a complete band playing.

  • @103959770979 you're damn right!

  • this is good!

  • Awesome!!!!

  • Great job my friend xDD

  • Echt cooler Song! Das hat Ohrwurmpotential!

  • pretty awesome for first try. keep em comming

  • how do you program the notes step by step.

  • got a question. How can you program the synth parts like you would the drum parts, as opposed to hitting reccord and trying to play them on beat? I know that would not be very efficient for stuff like tb-303 parts ^ _ ^ .

  • @ChunkieTehMaster That's where the step sequencer comes in handy for me.

Due to my lack of skill on the piano I'm programming the notes step by step.

In some rare cases, when I exactly know how to play a melody on keyboard I record it on the fly. However, unfortunately I'm too slow to switch octaves fast enough :D

It's a good feature of the emx to provide a couple of ways to record synth parts. Everyone has a preffered one :-)

  • pretty sweet!

put more drive on synth part 1 but :)

  • ei gude alex!

fein fein :-) hört sich echt gut an :-)

Am besten is noch am Schluss :DD

    mach weiter so !

  • such a good job

  • nice one man! :) trancey vibes!

  • great job with all the different elements, not boring like others minimal techno. ... i guess this is a bit more than minimal.

    its great :)

  • most likely cuz I suck at minimal crap. No seriously, I'm not familiar with minimal :-D

  • Very nice!

  • great tune! love trance! <3

  • awesome track 5*

  • very nice (Y)

  • love the stop and pause at 37 seconds.... amazing! My soul aim in life is to get one of these : )

  • can you record your songs onto this?

  • Nope, it's not a recording tool at all. It's a synthesizer. The sounds you hear are being generated by the Electribe. It's not prerecorded.

  • hey thanks! yeah i realized they are preduced by the electribe, iv been toying around with one at my local store and am really thinking about buying it, but was wondering if after i had made songs, like this one, if they could be saved for later usage. im guessing not?

  • Of course they can. You can either save your songs on the electribe's internal memory or on a smartmedia card ;)

  • oh awesome. thanks man! how long have you had yours for?

  • for approximately four months now

  • I saw that you had a keyboard next to your electribe. Do you need the keyboard to make music on there? I am thinking of getting one but I don't know anything about it.

  • nah , its a microkorg synth and its unrelated

  • The Keyboard isnt even plugged in to the EMX, But you can plug it in to make it easyer to make tunes with.

  • wrong.. it actually IS plugged into the EMX, I'm simply not using it in this tune ;-)

  • You know what i meant :P

Anyways it dosent seem to be plugged in unless the cables playing hide and seek? ;-)

  • if you look closely you can see one cable with a green plug going out (headphones) the cable next to my headphones going out to the mixer (mono output) and one cable plugged in to the audio in.. that's coming from the microkorg. It's a pretty long cable that's why it's hanging down from the table and going back to the microkorg :-)

  • you say not to expect anything? it sounds really good. maybe you should add little chinese girl singing into it and make it into trance music lol

  • I approve of this groove

  • im feelin that man. nice work.

  • sounds pretty sick... to thicken that lead unison detune it abit more and send both oarts to a chor/flang effect... have the speed on 24 and the effects edit 2 on 15 (Y)

  • Pretty damn good for a first try if you ask me...

  • Oh thank you. It makes me proud to hear that from someone who's using the EMX longer than me :-)

    hab dich lieb :-*

  • Gibt's auch als mp3 :-)

  • nice! like what you did! can you make a deeper base on that Electribe? just asking if you can or not, i might get one myself...

  • Yep, of course.

You can make quite cool basslines on the EMX! However I was working more on the melody in my video. Get your EMX, it's a very smart tool and in my opinion good for beginners due to it's simple usage. I'm waiting for your videos :-)

  • nice! love it :D
