This is very interesting to me, you mentioned the flies that live around water, if there is a underground stream or something along those lines the water acts as a amplifier of a spirits power, even allowing the spirit to manifest as it did while it was liveing. which can explain why people see her, the best times to look for her would be 12 am the witching hour, 3 am known as the devils hour. 5 am is when most of the spirits power dwindles. Just be careful if you go back the bridge looks rusted
Something like this has happened to me and my friend , both me and my friend are real spiritral she felt she wa being watched, I felt it too (We where sitting on the balconey in our apartment complexe) when we turned around this guy (One worker had died close to where we were sitting) all white and very very pale looking down on us. We where on the second store and I couldn't wasnt about to run past him like my friend did so I jumped almost broke my leg. He just stood there watching as we ran.
the bouncing ball is no lie and the black figure behind the white car could be a guy on a motorcycle. also at 6:42 to 6:44 did anyone hear a guy saying "dont come over here"?

the most disturbing part i foud was where there's a random ball just falling down the steps at 5:15 , just like what trouserpress (and 6:07 was eerie too..)
I definately saw a ball bounce down the last two steps at 5:15, just as the guy reaches the start of the bridge, and at 6:07 there is a figure in black that runs across the road right behind the black and, and then right behind the approaching white car, and dissapears on reaching the opposite barrier.
@trouserpress2 I think the 'ball' is part of something he's carrying to hit the bushes with on the trails. Watch the ending it's what he breaks the spider webs with.
i noticed the ball too man im thinkin a leaf but then i rewound it and ya it bounces, i noticed the guy behind car at 6:07 and was like oh ok a motorcycle then i looked closer and you can see legs moving, yeah man this is some freaky shit if not set up or fixed
@trouserpress2 Fuck You. I thought this wasnt gonna be scary...Now I am terrified XD That really is pretty creepy, I want softypapa's response to your comment.
@ChrisXDumbass Yes, I am planning to do this TONIGHT! The moon is full tonight I am now trying to screw up my courage to make the hike. If I do it you can be sure I will post whatever video I manage to capture (unless something else captures me). Have a great day! ~Kurt :-)
@rain1676 Thank you for your encouraging words. I hope you have a great time in Japan! Emily and I did indeed go back and we did light candles and make offerings for the little girl. Thank you for watching this video and sharing your comments! ~Kurt :-)
Me and a friend of mine are planning a trip to japan, do you have some spots you recommend? Both urban and country sides like this. If you do I'd be in your dept :)
@Robberen I would recommend places like Gifu prefecture, Shizuoka prefecture (in the area of the Southern Alps) as well as the island of Shikoku. If I had only one place I could visit in Japan I would likely choose Shikoku as it has a reputation as being a land from the past. I hope that this information is helpful to you. Please let me know if you have additional questions at any time. ~Kurt :-)
Shit! I even downloaded the video and played it in slo-mo several times! there's definitely a strange and inexplicable shadowy figure running behind that car. Watch it Kurt. Watch it and tell us what u make of it. thnx again ninjamonkeyee for the eagle eyes
Alert man. I think i c something strange in ur video!!!! ninjamonkeyee thankfully drew attention to this: Watch the video from 6:07 till 6:09: Behind the white car that comes driving in ur direction, there's a strange shadow of a man that shows up from nowhere and starts crossing the road to the other side. What the hell is that? It literally shows up from nowhere, it shows from no where, and vanishes into nowhere. it can be a motorbike coz i couldn't hear its sound, what is it?
@sarheed79 It was a bit creepy. I'm planning to go again later this month, alone, at night and when the moon is full. I hope that hike isn't too creepy. I'll post the video after the hike is complete. Thanks for watching! ~Kurt :-)
Thanks for sharing this story. I have put it on my web site, Haunted San Diego as a haunted place in Japan. I would never have heard of it if it wasn't for you. Thank you!
OMG! I just hate spiders!!! There the only thing that will make me run for my life! Anyway. Nice video. It's always great to see video on suppost haunted sites. Sad story really. Poor girl.
are you willing to stay there and see if the story is true to actually see the young girl.I was hoping for some detailed information on how her figure looks like , but other than that thanks for the brief information and story.
@tenshi239 Actually, I'm planning to go back to this bridge later this month, alone and at night. The bridge is located in a rather remote area far from any people (besides motorists) and I'm hoping to capture the look and feel of the place under the light of the moon. ~Kurt :-)
The more that I think about it, those spiders you encountered along the way, I have seen a great deal of them in Japanese horror stories(movies, anime, manga, etc). They seem to show up a lot where something supernatural happens and/or are portrayed as watching human business while we are oblivious. This could just be something used for entertainment in story telling and movies, etc but they seem to show up in places that ghosts or kami frequent.
A very sad but also very interesting story. The story rings true for me, I can't imagine any government spending lots of money on all the steel required to build that bridge. Even if the bridge was once used more for people for work reasons in the area that no longer exists. You would assume the bridge would at least be used enough to keep the track & prevent it overgrowing like that. Looking forward to your vid continuing on from here mate : )
It's sad that such a wonderful bridge had gone to waste. If only there were more of these kinds of bridges around. Moving cars can be quite terrifying when you're not in them.
Eah Kurt. Cool Vid. I hope some time you will take some videos when you walk nto the dark areas where you can REALLY HEAR THE BUGS & BIRDS and let me sample the audio of all that sound...w/o any speaking. There re some freaky sounding birds there in the evenings. ~Much love & Deep Peace
It is such a shame that the bridge has been left like that the trail has now over grown. It would be more of a fitting tribute if people still walked the trail and used the bridge. But I guess the Japanese can be a very superstitious people. Mind you it is hard to tell were fact ends and urban myth begins. Maybe no one was killed and it was just a rumour or a story started by kids to explain why the bridge was built.
LoL Have you expirienced a KANASHIBARI near a Haunted Place or inner a very old house or ap ? Mate you dnt have a clue to how avoid those spiritual beings to boring you after visit those places . Awsum Vid Report !
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
There's another take on this story. I was just surfing around: supposedly the ghosts existed FIRST. The government built the bridge for the GHOSTS to use, since they were causing accidents when people swerved to miss them.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
You caught something weird on the video at around 6:07 to 6:09. If you watch, it looks like someone gets hit by the silver car and then falls down in the road. The fact that you didn't acknowledge it suggests you didn't see it at the time...
Wow, that's awesome! I love films about abandoned architecture. I first thought, this video is from another channel I subscribed to (he makes movies about abandoned infrastructure, hospitals, bunkers and so on). I really like those kind of videos.
What is the regular speed limit on such roads in Japan?
I've indeed heard about the 日本平パークウェイ ghost story some time ago. I'm bit of a nerd/freak about "ghost stories" and I enjoy learning about them. I have a couple of my own that'll probably send chills up & down your spine. I'll tell you some other time. This poor girl's life was SO suddenly taken away from her that she probably still doesn't realize she's deceased. What a wonderful "memorial" they've built for her, though. Leave an incense or some flowers next time...
I was actually just thinking the same thing myself. My (step)mother is phenomenolly sensitive to those energies and works part-time as a medium (after years of "professional" training and guidance) in Japan. Things/spirits she can feel, see and communicate with are simply out of this world (pun intended.)
I used to be such a big skeptic about these things, but one particular "incident" changed my entire opinion of it one day.
@TiramisuHappy It's a rather incredible idea so most people refuse to believe it until they experience it themselves. I've not had an experience myself but I'm watching in case it does happen.
Awesome! I love videos like this! - I'd probably be dodging all the creepy crawlies (spiders/horseflies in specific) there but that would be an interesting site to visit for sure.
@Japanime1 I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Those biting flies are a real pain and I was quite surprised to find one here (or it found me rather) as I had never seen any bata in these hills. Thanks again for watching! ~Kurt :-)
@Claycat4 I will be sure to ask about this name if I meet anyone who knows more about the bridge. So far everyone I ask here is aware of the story though few can provide any details. Maybe when I go back there later this month at night I might learn more. Have a great day my friend! ~Kurt :-)
DOOD i thought there was blood on the stairs lmao....i love your videos man i actually just started watching them yesterday because my friend introduced me to your page. I hope you keep updating!
@PetraShadow My thanks to you and your friend for watching! I'm glad you liked this video. I'm planning to go back alone at night with the next full moon. I promise to bring my camera and share whatever happens with you. ~Kurt :-)
There really seem to be a lot of spiders in that area of Japan.
It's kind of sad if the backstory is true. He spent all his money to save people and then noone is using the bridge practically wasting all his efforts.
@sesshoumaru1981 There sure are a lot of BIG spiders in this area. And I didn't even show the giant hunting spiders which are everywhere and running over the ground. I've had these huge spiders leap off plant leaves at me which is really spooky! So true about the sad tale and efforts to protect others. Thank you for watching. ~Kurt :-)
@Radrey Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! I'm churning a plan in my head to go back again, alone with the next full moon. Of course I'll bring the camera and share with you. Or, if you want to come down to Shizuoka we can go up there together and make it a collab! That would be fun! ~Kurt :-)
mate,i love your videos, its so interesting just to see different wildlife where other people live, especially somewhere like japan, what kind of fly bit ya,are they stingers or just biters?do the spiders bite?
@ADZ23774 The fly is a biting horsefly called "bata" in Japanese. They are really aggressive and nasty and I have never seen on that far from water. I was really shocked to have been bitten like that. ~Kurt :-)
creepy 0w0 ! maybe its an old wives tale to warn children to stay away or be careful of the cars? if its local legend but there is always some truth behind these so im guessing a girl did die there and the bridge is in memory of her ;*( hopefully if she it still trapped she can move on knowing noone else will suffer the same fate and the kids will know to be careful of cars on the road.
@patsybob Your speculations bear some consideration as it is indeed likely that some form of truth lies at the the heart of this story. Just what it is may never be known by the likes of me. Have a great week! ~Kurt :-)
The Rainy Season is coming up in Japan if I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong)... I hope that won't keep you from making more outdoor videos. :)
@blackhat2005 I get confused about these things too... The rainy season was actually back in June though what you might be referring to is the typhoon season which is just getting started (the first typhoon of the season is bearing down on us this evening in fact!). Don't worry about rain stopping me! I love hiking in the wet! Have a great day! ~Kurt :-)

There's another take on this story. I was just surfing around: supposedly the ghosts existed FIRST. The government built the bridge for the GHOSTS to use, since they were causing accidents when people swerved to miss them.

You caught something weird on the video at around 6:07 to 6:09. If you watch, it looks like someone gets hit by the silver car and then falls down in the road. The fact that you didn't acknowledge it suggests you didn't see it at the time...

@darkyoda ahhh i see it !!!
creepy!

Any clue as to whether the incident really happened or whether it's an urban legend based on the unused bridge?

Long time no see! Nice to have you back!

Wow, that's awesome! I love films about abandoned architecture. I first thought, this video is from another channel I subscribed to (he makes movies about abandoned infrastructure, hospitals, bunkers and so on). I really like those kind of videos.
What is the regular speed limit on such roads in Japan?

Happy Labor Day, Kurt!

A lot of spiders but no ghost. Great video none the less. :-)

Next time you go up there you should bring someone with you that's sensitive to spiritual energies and see if they can sense anything.
pestr999 1 year ago 6
@pestr999
TiramisuHappy 1 year ago
@TiramisuHappy sounds very interesting. would you mind telling more about it ?
daikirai1 1 year ago
@TiramisuHappy It's a rather incredible idea so most people refuse to believe it until they experience it themselves. I've not had an experience myself but I'm watching in case it does happen.
pestr999 1 year ago
Well at least the ghost is on the bridge not in the middle of the road, if it was than there might be a few accidents along that piece of road! :)

Awesome! I love videos like this! - I'd probably be dodging all the creepy crawlies (spiders/horseflies in specific) there but that would be an interesting site to visit for sure.
Japanime1 1 year ago
@Japanime1 I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Those biting flies are a real pain and I was quite surprised to find one here (or it found me rather) as I had never seen any bata in these hills. Thanks again for watching! ~Kurt :-)

Softypapa, check out the name Chuzuko having to do with that bridge. The name just popped into my head when I was looking at it.
Thank you for showing us!
Claycat4 1 year ago
@Claycat4 I will be sure to ask about this name if I meet anyone who knows more about the bridge. So far everyone I ask here is aware of the story though few can provide any details. Maybe when I go back there later this month at night I might learn more. Have a great day my friend! ~Kurt :-)

@PetraShadow My thanks to you and your friend for watching! I'm glad you liked this video. I'm planning to go back alone at night with the next full moon. I promise to bring my camera and share whatever happens with you. ~Kurt :-)

@softypapa omg dood that would be freaking awesome! i cant wait to see that im all excited now xD!

There really seem to be a lot of spiders in that area of Japan.
It's kind of sad if the backstory is true. He spent all his money to save people and then noone is using the bridge practically wasting all his efforts.
sesshoumaru1981 1 year ago

ADZ23774 1 year ago
@ADZ23774 The fly is a biting horsefly called "bata" in Japanese. They are really aggressive and nasty and I have never seen on that far from water. I was really shocked to have been bitten like that. ~Kurt :-)
softypapa 1 year ago
creepy 0w0 ! maybe its an old wives tale to warn children to stay away or be careful of the cars? if its local legend but there is always some truth behind these so im guessing a girl did die there and the bridge is in memory of her ;*( hopefully if she it still trapped she can move on knowing noone else will suffer the same fate and the kids will know to be careful of cars on the road.
patsybob 1 year ago 3
@patsybob Your speculations bear some consideration as it is indeed likely that some form of truth lies at the the heart of this story. Just what it is may never be known by the likes of me. Have a great week! ~Kurt :-)

The Rainy Season is coming up in Japan if I'm not mistaken (correct me if I'm wrong)... I hope that won't keep you from making more outdoor videos. :)
blackhat2005 1 year ago
@blackhat2005 I get confused about these things too... The rainy season was actually back in June though what you might be referring to is the typhoon season which is just getting started (the first typhoon of the season is bearing down on us this evening in fact!). Don't worry about rain stopping me! I love hiking in the wet! Have a great day! ~Kurt :-)
