@novaboy74 it's a form of staph infection. You get a cut or something and then bacteria enters the cut. One of the main causes of Impetigo is poor hygiene. It occurs in children a lot cause they scratch certain body parts and pick their nose and don't wash their hands and then touch their face and whatnot.

Not ur fault, the fault lies in 75+ years of antibiotic (ATB) abuse in america. how many times have you heard people say< "I have extra (ATB of choice here) left? Hospitals and dr offices are also really good places to get it. MRSA VRSA are all preventable diseases the human race inflicted upon itself by carelessness and greed. As a nurse, I think the most dangerous misused and abused drugs are ATB'sand its a failure in the whole chain, docs overprescribing, not enough education given with the meds, pt carelessness

@roylwchez one last thing, things you can do to help, 1. stay clean as possible, especially handwashing,2. vitamin c, it strengthens ur immune system, 3. never shower in public places without shower shoes. 4. when you have another outbreak, and the doc gives you ATB's, take a "loading dose", on ur first dose, like 2-3 pills instead of just one, which can make you a little sick,cuz remember they are anti life pills, (can give you the shits) that comes from ATB's kill good and bad bacteria alike

dude, use witch hazel and betadine, you will always be infected with MRSA bacteria and the witch hazel will help you. Wash your face with it, put it in some baby wipes that have aloe in them and keep them handy. It is an astringent and will help keep the skin clean

It is because hospitals and individuals have overused and/or misused antibiotics and antibacterials which has allowed bacteria to build immunities and become "superbacteria." That is why it is so important to use antibiotics as directed and NOT use them in daily, low-dose applications, like in handsoaps and counter wipes and food, etc. Stick to bleach and soap and water, and eat organic if you can.

You have the erysipelas. FYI it is likely caused by the same bacteria as the abscess you had on your back. You should probably clean all your towels, bedsheets and the like. The bacteria is highly contagious and you can spread it to yourself as well as those you live with.  It can get pretty serious.

when one gets piercings in places that were never meant to be pierced..they, in effect, open up spots that bacteria can find their way into..and if you grew up with things like chancres and cold sores, then the openings from your piercings will make it easier for infections to invade those areas..best wishes man..I know what it's like..

omg i have the same thing right now and it's seriously incredibly hard to deal with so i know what ur going through. My face is healing as well and luckily my case isn't as serious. but i noticed my face healed a lot faster using proactiv than the stupid meds the doc gave me, so i'm considering just switching back to that again. but god bless you and i'm glad i'm not alone. i'll pray 4 u :)
