Race SHOULD be important to everyone. Especially critical thinkers who have the capacity to judge a person based on character. We can't dismiss race. It's a crucial aspect of who we are. In order for us to become conscientious about why there is disproportionate suffering among African Americans, we need to address this issue of race head on. Black folks and whites need to muster up the courage to bring this national conversation to the table, in numbers!!

I`m a big fan of Dr. West, but it is is worrying that a man so perceptive and, intelligent that he believes in god ( lower case intentional )

I`m a white guy for those out there! Race is important to Americans!

If you like Doctor West you should listen to John Henrik Clarke. He's the man that inspired him and would make West look silly in a debate on any topic!!

But I must be honest. Dr. Clarke is a very intelligent but he's lectures are primarily for the liberation of African (American) minds through a thorough examination of history and how it's been manipulated for the purpose of power.
