Canougrimi. Je respecte Mireille Mathieu. Pourtant elle fait des erreurs dans les hauts. Et sa version de NY NY n'est pas costaud. La traduction est bonne.
@49181969 : This was filmed during one of a series of concerts at the Palais de Congress in1990. I am not surprised that she was unable to hit all the highs. Bearing in mind her style of singing and the songs that she sang at these concerts, I am amazed that she actually had a voice left to sing with.

Bravo, bien la p'tite Mireille, au moins quand elle chante on comprend ce qu'elle dit, c'est pas comme certains qui la critiquent et qui ne savent même pas mettre un mot devant l'autre sans bafouiller.
Steve: I don't think that would be a good idea. I know many New Yorkers and many Arizonans; to say that a clash of cultures would ensue is an understatement! (Although, on second thought, maybe if New Yorkzona were given a new language--say, French--and made to watch Miss Mathieu sing on huge public telescreens for at least 15 minutes every day, a new and better society could be synthesized out of the two old ones . . . you might just have something there.)
MMfanAZ: Perhaps you could handle it, though I suspect you'd say anything to get Mimi out there! I think, though, that we could do it better here in Florida. Heck, we've already got half of New York (the senior half) living in South Florida. And, as I've written so many times before, we've got the beaches and Mediterranean climate (and Arizona doesn't)!
I belive that she sing now ,special where she feel that is really loved! She loosed the american audience ,and probably you realise why?("My life will never be the same")...
I refer of course not to all americans that love her personality...i refer to some ugly conflicts, bad influences, blind opinions ,politic resons ...for that she lost i belive ,a great part of her audience.
janick1ultramarine & emidream: You are both wrong. She played the famous New York City Carnegie Hall several times and she was a popular guest on the popular Ed Sullivan Show that was broadcast from New York. As far as losing her American audience I'm sure you not right there either.
I know. But I refered about these bad influences, rivalyties between some country for that you pay a hard "tribute"!Look what is happend today...many parodies to her person(why?)that I have never seen to adress of other great singer ...and I am very, very angry and dissapoint.Amazings insults and ugly things for an amazing singer, their "gift" for somebody who worked so much and gave to all so much!
Nice version my friend!

Hey, we - in Arizona - could handle that just fine! Bring on the Mathieu music! We'll handle it in Arizona. :-) Peacefully in Arizona

I have to say that isn't true that Mireille never came in New-York. She sang two times I think in the famous Carnegie Hall ( 1975 and 1982).

I second Emidream's comment)
Though it's unfortunate that Mireille sings about NewYork but never comes here(
