About a month ago I made a research and found out there was a younger brother who passed away. The comment I posted is about it. I just discovered him and I am sorry he is not here anymore. I was 13 when this came out. He was the shit in '77. But he fell into the same trap that a lot of young Hollywood does today. Everybody wanted a piece of him. He had the coke problem when he met Victoria. He loved her dearly but she told him to choose between her and drugs. Was too late for him to make that choice and his heart got broken. Still love him though. RIP my friend.........

Compare him to Cassidy is ridiculous Andy's Voice and talent is far more talented in my opinion, all The Gibbs have/had the Talents of Singing and Song Writing. No specifics but it implies that VP may well have earned her negative reputation. I'd love to know what really went on in their relationship. In an interview, Andy said that VP stopped loving him....ouch!!

Guess poor Andy realized at the end of their relationship that everything that "glitters is not gold". Andy however was GOLD and still shines today. Love him lots!!!!

I found it difficult to watch VP being all sweet as pie when we know how cold she was in the end. I wonder if VP knows how despised she is among Andy's fans. Andy definitely still shines on and on, while VP snuggles up to her botox.

You can't blame victoria principle for his death. He wasn't with her when he died and i've just found out that he'd been suffering with heart problems years before he died and never told anyone else, not even his brothers. I just wanna be your everything is a timeless song that you never get tired of.

The guitar is 100% prop. He's not even forming real chords. I guess it made him feel more secure onstage early on.

He died not just of a defective heart because of stress and drugs, but a heaviness that no woman could really find. He was difficult to love because he would of loved so very deeply and been sorely misunderstood. Although I would of tried to understand him . . .

Serena..when I was a little girl I used to hear his songs on the radio. I was sure there were the Bee Gees back then. About a month ago I made a research and found out there was a younger brother who passed away. The comment I posted is about it. I just discovered him and I am sorry he is not here anymore. How I would love him to do music again..(if he would be here) I would be the fan # 1. Thanks for the comment.

His guy was TO DIE FOR with his angelic face and awesome voice! I had his poster on my wall right next to my Bee Gee's poster in the late 70's :P Think the BayCity Roller's was next to those hehe For a nine year old girl it didn't get much better then Andy Gibb and now many years later I see I had great taste in music and still do!Andy the world really really misses you.

The actual song structures of yesteryear are quite simply more complex on paper and to the ear. They are more creative with a greater interplay of harmonies - this classic song being a perfect example. With this throw-away society comes throw-away songs with no substance or depth of feeling. Just listen to the oldies and reflect.

I was 13 when this came out. He was the shit in '77. But he fell into the same trap that a lot of young Hollywood does today. Everybody wanted a piece of him. He had the coke problem when he met Victoria. He loved her dearly but she told him to choose between her and drugs. Was too late for him to make that choice and his heart got broken. Still love him though. RIP my friend.........

Compare him to Cassidy is ridiculous Andy's Voice and talent is far more talented in my opinion, all The Gibbs have/had the Talents of Singing and Song Writing. I don't want to blame her but it would have been easier had he gotten clean because he was in rehabilitation and maybe he could have handled things better, I even hear the brothers did not want to see her ever again, so something went down, I cannot see them blaming her for no reason, maybe they has other conflicts with her, like she wanted to pay her respects but when he asked her to help him she wouldn't, I call that a slap in the face. IT's MY OPINION!!

@LetsStrikeItUp I read an interview with Andy's mum (on the net somewhere) and she said that Victoria didn't treat Andy well. No specifics but it implies that VP may well have earned her negative reputation. I'd love to know what really went on in their relationship. In an interview, Andy said that VP stopped loving him....ouch!!

@Aspie08 Check out the interview with Donahue with Andy & VP here on YT. Seems like she just used Andy as a boy toy until her divorce went through. Guess poor Andy realized at the end of their relationship that everything that "glitters is not gold". Andy however was GOLD and still shines today. Love him lots!!!!

@Eightiesgirl46 By coincidence, I watched the Donahue interview last week. Before watching it, I hadn't realised that VP was going thru a divorce when she was with Andy. I found it difficult to watch VP being all sweet as pie when we know how cold she was in the end. I wonder if VP knows how despised she is among Andy's fans. Andy definitely still shines on and on, while VP snuggles up to her botox.

He ultimately died of a broken heart his best friend Pam Dawber in a Documentary of his life, he needed help and he felt alone not an excuse but he used those things to kill his pain like some do with other medications. Victoria Principal's breaking with him had a huge impact on him.

indycoltsfandunn Andy was already one of the biggest stars in the world when he died. His name alone made him big. But his stunning looks and fantastic voice was bigger than anything else. You can't blame victoria principle for his death. He wasn't with her when he died and i've just found out that he'd been suffering with heart problems years before he died and never told anyone else, not even his brothers. I just wanna be your everything is a timeless song that you never get tired of.
