  • Could you do a review and comparison with the Owen sub-machine gun? Didn't an Aussie designer come up with it because of the issues the Sten had with jungle environments?

  • a bit more close up filming would be nice. apart from that, awesome videos!

  • How well does the Sten Gun compared to German MP40, what would be your weapon of choice? Is it fair to say, that the MP40 is the more sophisticated piece of equipement while the Sten Gun could be produced in higher numbers at lower costs?

  • @setchmo I agree. There is little to choose from performance wise, since they are both 9mm at fire at about 500RPM. The MP40 is a bit more refined.

  • rePlace or weld them back together.

  • Great video. Back in 1992 these were all over the Place in American gun shows. You would purchase them with the breach cut in half and either re

  • my grandad used a sten as part of his nation servive but was happy when he got equiped with the bren gun, so would i

  • Could you get a better microphone so that I could hear your voice better?

  • I believe it was the Sten that George Lucas used as the basis of his StormTroopers main laser? Battle Rifle.

  • @valhala56 No, that was the Sterling SMG.

  • Any chance you can make Ted do a video on how the push button select fire worked compared to the thumb switch select fire and if possible reupload the ak vs m16 videos

  • @nelson0110 There's an AK47 vs STG44 uploading right now.

  • tHAT IS ONE HELLACIOUS BAYONET.

  • The northern state I live in isn't as bad. New York is a terrible state for this kind of stuff. In PA we can own a lot of NFA stuff but we can't hunt with semi autos which I don't understand.

  • Thank goodness you are not at the Shot show. Everyone is there showing nothing but guns. I like guns but do like to see other thi OHHHH A Sten gun!! COOL !!

Glad to see the new channel up & going strong.

  • @shananagans5 Thanks Shaz!

  • good video, interesting, can you do one where you shoot the Lanchester? by the way, I liked the part at 12:44 where you suddenly appear in the midst, like Jesus

  • @raceygofast I move in mysterious ways...

  • @nzww2buff I can imagine your version of mad max...ferrari screaming through the desert, bren gun on a pintle mount firing wildly

  • @whitfan27 'Wildly'?!!! Never. Controlled bursts only....:)

  • both mk 2 and mk 3 stens where made here in canada in vary large numbers

  • ted you got to start using the part that catchets the rachet on the barrel shroud that clicking makes my cringe

  • Just curious, are you going to do one on the Thompson SMGs or the B.A.R.?

  • @paratroop24 Yep. Eventualy. Shit - give me a chance! LOL.

  • I just noticed another house behind Jim while he's talking about the mags. What do his neighbors say about the noise?

  • @Harmon1ca Nothing. It's Texas. They're used to it - and if not 'THEY CAN GODDAMN WELL MOVE TO ONE OF THEM NORTHERN STATES WHERE THEIR TYPE OF HOMOSEXUAL, OBAMA EMBRACING TYPES ARE TOLERATED'.

  • great to see the colab videos working well, good transition from ted to jim in this vid.

  • Thanks for the video.

  • The RAF Regiment wasn't formed until 1942, the STEN and Thompsons were available for a year before the "Rock Apes" came into being. The First 50,000 Lanchesters went to the Royal Navy, although it was the RAF that requested a SMG.

  • @cujomojo2007 Cheers - make me look like a c*#t, why don't ya? LOL!! You are quite right. i should make sure I get the details correct.

  • @nzww2buff Not my intention at all Ted, I can imagine the less informed wondering why the RAF would need a SMG. By saying the Rock Apes needed them places it in the context of installation defence. It's clear that you don't work from a script, which just goes to show how much knowledge you have.

  • great vid, was the mk5 designed to have a single point sling? I noticed the oddly placed swivel

  • @callhoonrepublican I THINK it just slots through the holes around the barrel retention nut.

  • Can the bad magazines be fixed by tweaking the feed lips so the bullet is at 5 degrees? Or are they scrap? Great video!

  • @iParatrooper yea you can play with the feed lips a bit to get it feeding right

  • My grand father was 'issued' one(Mark-II) as a member of the Danish resistance movement, and it was used as a security tool during sabotage actions carried out betweeen 1943-45.

So the old girl has also seen action in Denmark..Great vids..Keep them coming please.
