@444mariosonic Well i played alot Mk64 when it came out,but i Never got Mushrooms on 1ST Place i know you can get the Shock,and a Star in 2nd Place but on 1st place i got only Bananas,Shells and Stuff like that. But he gets ALWAYS a Mushroom at 1st Place xD there is something not right and that have nothing to do with luck it must be a trick or a hack.cause when i do play with firends mk64 i will never get that lucky with mushrooms on 1st place or i am a person with the most worst luck ever^^

its a TAS, he can make a mushroom happen every time he hits a box but he has to use slow gameplay and savestates so he gets the right item every time. its no hack.

It's primarily using an emulator to slow down the game and to use an auto loading feature to correct mistakes.

no a gameshark is cheating with codes out side of the game. TAS is just a speedrun with savestates slowgameplay and skiped frams during any part of the speedrun if they make a mistake they can go back and fix it, but its "not" cheating.

Hmm, you seem to let off the gas at about 1:04 on the in-game timer. Am I hearing things or did you really let off the gas?

I did so I could manipulate a mushroom from the item box (sometimes they don't want to appear for whatever reason). Nevertheless, I redid that section to see if I could get one to appear earlier and unsurprisingly, it did to save 0.06 seconds. You'll also note I slowed at around 0:32 in the video but the reason there is decidedly less implicit.

Good job manipulating the shroom at the end, I always thought there was a specific frame you had to press Z on th get the shroom, and that letting go of A was unneccessary, but I had never TASed this game (or any game) to find out.

Also the double invincibility stars at the beginning is slower, there is a video that beats your first lap time by 0"02 and uses the shrooms the whole lap. Search for mmf tas and click on the first link you see.

But obviously, the star effect extends into my second lap so ComicalFlop's lap2 would be slower. A better comparison would be to determine the time it takes for both of us to reach the second set of item boxes on lap2. I was ~0.4 seconds faster IIRC.
