FYI...Sitchens his hardly "renowned", in fact, anyone who actually holds any degree in ancient languages and has reviewed his work state he has no understanding of the subjects he talks about.He has no formal training or education in these matters a literally makes up his own "translations" as he goes.For example, the Hebrew word "shem" does NOT mean "rocket ship".ANYONE who knows even the basics of biblical Hebrew could tell you that. Just look it up....

@JemminyJangles He makes the claims in his books...and the Sumerians were NOT Semitic.The Akkadians were, and they adopted the Sumerian writing system but they are not related languages at all. FYI...did you know that the Sumerians never called themselves Sumerians?The english word we use comes from the Akkadian name they gave the area. Same with Nibiru...there is no Nibiru in Sumerian texts, it is an Akkadian word that means "crossing", like a bridge....
