Don't twist it. For starters, there is NO WAY for the STAINLESS STEEL BAR to fuse to your ear, so really, what's the point? Lastly, you do that, it can irritate it. But I guess it's too late anyway. -.-

Don't go back to your piercer, if he told you to twist it then he's wrong. It just damages the tissue and makes it take longer to heal.

@MultiAshtree Er, no, that's a common misconception. Twisting it can break the fistula that is forming around the bar, unless the metal is extremely low quality then the skin will just NOT adhere to the jewellery and that just won't happen because PROPER piercing metals used are not porous enough.

i know someone who is a piercer and she said if you put water on ur piercing it can only be from a ketle and you put sea salt on it. You DO NOT use water just out of the tap!

@ashiees1 well, my piercer knows what they're doing. piercers all have different opinions. it also depends on where you live and whether your sink water is filtered or not. sometimes if i have an infected piercing ill boil the water. it all depends on your piercers knowledge and whatnot. ive never had problems with my industrial piercing.

@ashiees1 yes, you do. it loosens the tissue in your cartlidge. if you put an ice cube to it, it tightens and toughens the tissue. i from experience, and my piercer of 10 years, know what we're talking about.

No girl, you don't twist it. You're pierced with stainless steel, so your skin will not grow on it. But if you twist it, you're just going to disrupt the healing, and you're going to irritate the piercing.

@abbbbbbbbbbbbbie98 :p im 13.. yeahhh well helix is the same kind of cartlidge as an industrial, but an industrial goes thru twice. in my opinion, it didn't hurt at all, more of a sting. The sting is similar to when you get a shot, it doesn't hurt, only burns for a second. I didn't feel the needle go thru the top, but i felt it wen it went through the bottom part. so, NO, it did not hurt(:
