It is not uncommon for private varnish to be on the Northeast Corridor, although normally only on the Florida trains, Palmetto, Crescent, Cardinal, and Regional trains 66/67. These trains are limited to 110MPH, the fastest private cars are allowed to travel (all other Amtrak trains exceed 110MPH). Keep your eyes peeled, you'll see more of them. Many will gather in Washington DC in early November for the American Association of Private Railroad Car Owners national convention special train.
