@Iwtlv Game Maker has a great editor that can remove the pixels. Just select edit and the eraser.

@frenchge you could just save the whole sprite sheet and you could copy/paste the sprite you needed in Game Maker instead of creating a new file for each sprite.

Phew... I am making now a streetfighter KOF and other games remix and I put now all ryu sprites in game maker XD If you don't want to waste your time like I did, then ask me, if you want the ryu sprites! Now cheaply sprites! I mean the ryu fs 3, the really cool graphics... ask me ok? (If you want the sprites for your game ^^)

This is great stuff both parts of you're tutorials where very helpful. The only problem I'm encountering is when selecting the sprite, I copy the sprite but I also get the empty pixels around it. What can I do so that I don't have the pixels that are around the sprite? It's more noticeable when I add the background.

How long do you think it would take to make a fighting game (Like this) with set enemies depending on level? You can choose three characters that can all jump, kick and punch. It's sort of like a round tournament, so you pick one character and there are five round before you win the game, so there are 5 enemies (Same moves). In total, 8 fighting characters to animate and code.

Also, they have to be different strength and speed? I understand speed, but not too much strength.

I want to make an object of a guy with a sword. Is there a way to make it so when enemies touch the sword, they die but if the touch the guy that has the sword, the guy dies?

No, the sword would have to be a second object.

@InfernoJuggernaut I think you should make an object with the attacking player's sprite.

A sprite that you put the event colition with the enemy and in the qualities of this event you put something that make the enemy die.

For the sword dies guy put something that makes the player dies. This is done on the subject of the normal player

making it move with a speed like 100 something which makes it look like it's attach to his/her hand

Looks like you might have hard drive or operating system issues. Try and re-install Game Maker and see if that helps. If not, try Glary Utilities to correct registry and other problems.

@aidancole401 That actually isnt too hard to do. you just make the horizontal coordinates of the health bar as the variable that represents the players and enimies health. Well I cant remember exactly how i did it because its on my old computer, but you get the gist of it.
