  • "Yes sir seargent sir, ready sir." Are you kidding me?! You do NOT call seargents sir, your call them seargent!

  • Hummers r ghey. Jeeps rule.

  • this is available for the Israeli and Egyptian military- i think Jeep should stay in America where it belongs.

  • these were available in the u.s. as a rolling Chassis only. you had to put a bid number in for a chance to buy one awhile ago.

  • Why was it designed to "fire the imagination of hard core off road enthusiasts" if it isnt offered in north America? It is a Jeep isnt it? Then sell it to American!!!!!

  • Jeep not in north america???

Thats like not being able to buy vodka in russia.

  • I dont like it a Jeep not available in North America. I dont understand.

  • If they wanted to imptress me with this J8 Sarge they should have shown it in action.

  • Why does it have U.S. marks, but isn't available in North America?

  • so on every single one of the videos of this jeep on youtube, or jeeps facebook page people say nothing but good things. in fact i havent ever seen a single negative comment about the j8. why o why then chrysler, will you not sell it as a regular production model in the us? i guarantee that Americans will buy them by the truck load!

  • @tallzdatank i heard it was something about emissions. I think it's a dumb to say, even though it's a diesel motor which is more efficient than a gasoline engine

  • so why did they use dana 60 brakes and dana 44 axles?

  • The diesel standardizes it to be Military friendly, diesel/JP8. Makes it a vehicle that can be refueled pretty much worldwide without a Texaco or Shell in sight. I think I might repaint my 2000TJ to be one,LOL!

  • make mine a 5spd, turbo 4banger, asap. love this concept. this is how the first jeeps were. simple and rugged. just gotta add the cheap part in now!

  • Offer it to U.S. and we will buy it. NOW

  • You can always tell when the narrator is just reading a script and doesn't know squat about the subject. "Dana 60 brakes"??? Ya 'cause they're attached to a Dana 60, DUH!

  • Not available in North America? WTF?

  • I cringed at 1:35

  • @jdgator95 yes sir sargent sir ready sir....ugh

  • @jdgator95 if i said that to my sgt i would be doin ALOT of pushups lol

  • What this engine is a 2.8 crd like my own but why does it ony have 158 bhp ? mine has 177 bhp !? help me please ?!

    THNXS

  • the difference is the fact that its a diesel engine.

  • And we need that Diesel engine option in our Jeeps here in the USA!!!

  • @TheJeephistorian why you need a diesel engine ? I heard diesel is more expensive than usual gaz (in the US)

  • @scepticpatriot

it is beyond amazing at fuel effeciency comapared to the crappy v6 we got in North America. and then theirs the great torque for an offroad built vehicle which shouldnt even have been a concern, but instead they made it impossible to get.

  • @OfficerSheepDog we got it with diesel engine

but we have an other problem: the death wobble :S

  • @scepticpatriot tie rod recall? ball joints? miss alignment?

  • @deanschool actually we have no idea what the cause is.

the garage where we bought it is very unhelpful; - FIRST they said the tires were the reason so they replaced all the tires and they aligned the weels.

We then had the death wobble again and almost got hit by a truck on the highway :o ! we went back to the garage

    - SECOND: they replaced the stabilisation axe AND the 4 tires again (lot of money). To this day we didn't experience it anymore.

  • @deanschool and guess what the guys at the (GM) garage said that they never heard about the death wobble before !!

    what a joke !

Although they said that the stabilisation axe got used because we drove the jeep 100 000 kilometer in a too short laps of time !! (in fact it's the same thing as say that we drove it to much. It doesn't make sense to me)

And for selling the jeep to us they said that it was a very strong car wich will last a long time :S

  • @OfficerSheepDog its a I6. inline 6

  • @deanschool

the TJ wranglers had the I6

The jk's now used have a 3.8 v6 (the one me and scepticpatriot are talking about)

which is soon to be replaced by a 3.6L pentastar producing roughly 285 hp and i think 320's torque im not exactly sure on the ratings of the future engine.

  • @OfficerSheepDog oh gotcha, your talking about the JK (2007-present) :) good jeeps! downfall is the motor. but im into offroading lol

  • @deanschool

haha im guessing your offroading is the expensive type of hobby ;)

but very fun to watch =D

  • @OfficerSheepDog whats that suppose to mean? lol

  • @deanschool

You have little trucks the 1:8 scale i believe. and they are fun to watch, the dam things are so quick!

I'm assuming they would break offten and are expensive. that's all.

    anyways cheers!

  • @OfficerSheepDog oh lol the blitz is 1:10 and the savage i sold but was 1:8. thanks man!

  • @scepticpatriot but you get way better miles per gallon.

  • they put a smaller engine in it... why? 2.8 liter 4 cylinder instead of the standard 3.8 liter 6 cylinder... thats pointless

  • diesel= torque. the 3.8 gasser doesn't have the torque right here right now right off idle.

  • Because its a diesel and has torque

  • the guy announcing this is really fucking nerdy

  • chrysler's fuckin stupid for not selling these in the states. its a jeep with a diesel, it will sell.

  • They wont sell these in the U.S.A.; its no wonder Chrysler is filing for bankruptcy!!!

  • Damn that one looks very kewl!

  • will someone please smack Nancy Pelosi and all of the other environmentalists for obstructing the importation of awesome vehicles like this!

For those who didn't already know, the U.S. takes in more CO2 than it produces

  • I like how they went back to the 2 door, long bed like the 05-06 Unlimited TJ's... far better looking IMO... 4 door jeeps are not only goofy, but they looked like oversized station wagons

  • I'd like to see Jeep make a 4 wheel independent suspension like the humvee but way smaller. Subaru could do it with off the shelf parts! ....maybe someday soon?

  • Comment removed

  • soild axles are way better then IRS!!!!! now put geared hubs in jeeps like the hummvees and thats a different story.

  • Why? are you dumb. People want flex out of a jeep. IFS and IRS do not flex well at all. You are more prone to breaking a tie rod while trying to flex with IFS or IRS. The solid axles that wranglers use, flex very well. IFS and IRS that are one the Hummvees are practical because they are speeding through the desert and need to absorb bumps easier than a solid axle vehicle would.

  • yeah I suppose?

I like to cruise at highspeed over ice h/w in a lightweight to power veh. I like to have granny gears and a frame.

I've got a '00 dur and a 98 dak (v8s). neither veh have ever failed me and i've got over 130k on both. they've both been in -60deg for over a wk. I'd like to get better clearance (bothhave 31in tires on 15" rims so it's great...low tech system using both front and rear IRS. I know their not "trucks" but they're not "cars" I will keep them running if i can offord

  • Sell these in the US!!!! Come on Jeep co..
