  • 3rd post (others below). Contrary to popular belief, the lead dog is not necessarily the alpha dog of the pack. Amos was the undisputed ruler of all my dogs just because of his personality, and only one or two others could have challenged him physically, but these were larger Malamutes who were raised with him as already a dominant adult dog, so they were always submissive to him. Oh, well, not wanting to bore you with old stories, but it brought back memories. You have a great dog!

  • I'd pay good money for a dog of this same breeding. I love both breeds. I love pure Mals very much, but that crossing has a special place in my heart,.As I was saying below, my dog Amos was very special. He was unbelievably devoted to me, and he also ran on my sled dog team for 10 years (a long time for a big dog). I had to run him at wheel (in the back by me) because he was too big to run in lead or point. He liked it, though because he was nearer to me and he could keep an eye on the team.

  • I had a dog of this same combo and he looked very much like yours. The colors and marking are identical. His name was Amos and he was the smartest dog I ever had. I could train him to do anything. He knew everything else naturally! He was a superb guard dog. He attacked a 600 pound black bear in my yard when I came out to see what the noise was. The bear couldn't touch him. He knew to attack only the rear. He made humans stand against the wall until I came outside and approved them. I miss him.

  • now that is a beasty mix your dog is beautiful

  • very beautiful dog

  • beautiful dog

  • @MrLeebo123 theres 2 types of german shepherds, the show line with extreme tilted and sick spines, and then the working line with straight more healthy spine, used in police force

  • i think you made a better gsd because its got more muscle from the malamute its got a bigger head and the malamutes are a much more healthier breed then gsd so go job

  • wow nice a malamute with sheperd colors.

Love those slightly lighter eyes aswell.

Malamutes their heads are quite large and fluffy...kinda looks like an angry cat at some point.

  • AW he's so fluffffy^^

  • I was like "where's the malamute?", but it's a half breed. okay cool. got it. lol beautiful dog.

  • Idk about agressive my shepherd growls like that well deeper and scarier when she plays. And if malamute play growling is expected. Could also be frustration from being tied

  • that things a tank

  • He's cute :)

  • Gorgeous.

  • Beautiful! I like this dog, she is very intimidating at just 18 months!

  • lovely dog blud

  • Holy Shit! Thats a puppy!? hahaha I want one so bad!

  • wonderfull dog

  • 18 months ain't no puppy.

  • i have the same kind of dog! Except mine has his ears more perked up! :D I luv my big baby! He's barely a year old. :3

  • what an odd combination

  • yea because u german sheperd showing agression is funny isnt it! some people shoudlnt be allowed dogs!

  • extremely handsome!!

  • wow good looking dog!

  • Haha, he´s like "You spilled my tea! What were you thinking????"

  • My parent's little jealous/territorial boston terrier/min pitbull tried stealing my 8 month old husky/doberman/shep's bone and about got her ass handed to her. lol. Terriers can hold on with their bite for anything but GSD's and northern breeds have insane amounts of crushing pressure with their jaws. Terriers are made to grip down but the Wolf-like dogs are made to snap bone.

  • not too convincing when the tale is wagging...

  • this looks so weird and cute at the same time.

  • such a great combination. i'll have to keep an eye out if i ever get a chance

  • he looks so different from the others german shepherd Ive seen.

  • even from seeing him growl i can still tell he is an extremely nice dog.like i can tell.his breeds that are mixed are very nice dogs.AAAAAAAANd plus.what do you expect?hes poofy!

  • what is your dog growling at?

  • @LionessCub1 another dog who stole his toy

  • He's beautiful !!! :)

  • now tats a fluffy puppy!

  • standard du malamute e couleur du Berger allemand !

    très beau chien

  • people need to chill out, you can hear the other do g in the background start growling at him, so he merely responded back at him. He was just showing some backbone. my dogs do it all the time, testing each other out but they're buds.

  • @silvergenko I saw there was some article that says you can tell how serious a man is by his voice. Idk, but it could be true.

  • looks so much like my dog Ace, husky GS mix

  • How do you guys know anything about this dog the owner knows their dog best and if somebody breaks into your house you would want your dog to be "aggressive" duhhh good vid tho

  • @Note2self2 I wouldn't want my dog to be 'aggressive' if someone broke into my house. Yes, I'd like for my dog to intimidate the one breaking in, but I would NOT want my dog to bite them. Why? Because burglars can (and often do) sue the home/dog owner if they were bitten. They often win. Yaaaay justice system! D:<

  • @MakiMaki962047 put a beware of the dog sign

  • @MaCha6969 That just makes it worse for the owner, because then they're basically implying that the owner knew that the dog is a potential threat.

  • I would love to have a dog like that protecting my house xD

  • How is his trainability? And health now? I've considered getting a cross for the shepherds intelligence and the hybrid vigour.

  • @SuperMelMan182 he is very intelligent and easy to train, no health problems at all

  • @SuperMelMan182 the training is all in you my friend..not the breed

  • where the hell is the alaskan malamute?:|

  • you can tell by the fur

  • that is a amazing dog :)

  • How much does he weigh?

  • he weighs 52kg

  • One more question, how much is that in pounds?

  • @9208155 thats 114lbs

  • @mark11vtr no offense, that's one dog I DON"T wont to meet in a dark alley

  • Very Nice Cross!!

  • jus want to point out that he is now 2 1/2 years old, and this video isnt aggression, i've seen him show real aggresion, totally different.

  • This looks like real aggression to me. I've not met the dog but you ask anyone who can read dogs. Why put on more info 'my 18month old puppy showing some aggression', therefore you ARE an idiot for encouraging this behaviour OR if you prefer 'an irresponsible dog owner'

  • Beautiful cross though

  • @howarth997 It looks like "play aggression" to me, chill out, why are there always judgmental people picking on small details and looking to fight? Seriously.

  • @nolaughingmatter I'm perfectly chilled & I'm not looking for a fight, I was just expressing my opinion... just like you are ;)

  • @howarth997 i diss agree tail was wagging dident seem to agressive

  • @JMREPTILES tail wagging doesn't mean the dog isn't showing aggression... a lot of people think 'oh the dogs tail is wagging, it's ok', if you watch dogs fight for REAL or you see guard dog guarding for REAL, their tails wag.

  • @howarth997 iv been around dogs all my life and imo i dont think the dog id beening agresive my dog will grown and bark in play

  • @JMREPTILES We'll agree to disagree then ;) another point to make is the dog is tethered to a line with a lot of tension, which increases the intensity of aggression, I'd like to see the owner wind him up without the line on! Post a video & prove me wrong lol

  • @howarth997 ye i agree i only think it isent bcuz if u look at 20seconds it is play full im glad this never turned into a big deal haha nice to see that youtube isent full of internet gangsters :)

  • @howarth997 That's bollocks. His tail is wagging constantly. Malamutes and Huskies growl like mad when playing even....The other dog was playing with his toy, so he shows he is displeased with that.

It's unnecessary to punish a dog for displaying this. Unless you want a crawling lapdog.

  • @howarth997 I can read dogs. I study animal behavior and dog training. The owner said another dog stole his toy. Showing growling like that is perfectly fine. If he viciously lunged against his leash, snarling at the other dog and showed rage that would be unacceptable. By the looks of it were he not attached to that leash he would've ran over and probably stolen his toy back. Have you seen two dogs on a sofa with one toy between them? They growl back and forth at each other. Harmless.

  • @howarth997 I wouldn't be so sure. This is really nothing, he's just a little insecure. I've never met this dog but I guarantee if I met him in this "state of mind" it wouldn't take me longer than 2-3 minutes to play with him and have him lick my hands.

  • you're an idiot for teaching him to be aggressive

  • Gorgeous dog, but don't encourage that sort of aggression in a mix like that - could be way more than you can handle!

  • its sooooooooo beautiful and adorable :3

  • it is a very nice dog and german shepherds are my favorite type of dog but no offensive i dont know why you made a video about your dog angry

  • Been looking for an example of this x as we have a shepherd bitch and our friends have a Malamute dog, and we are thinking of puppies!

  • pretty nice lol

  • beautiful mix ! good job =]

  • Wow! What an awesome and unique mix!!! Never seen that before!

  • beautiful dog :)

apart from the colouring, you can certainly see the german shepherd.

  • What a beautiful dog! I agree that it has a malamute body but shepherd colours. Beautiful.

  • Although yours is a mix just like mine. Yours got the body of a Malamute but the color of a shepherd. He is a cute dog!

  • where and when did u buy ur doggy?

  • i dont think thats anything to worry about since he did a play bow. anyway he's a very handsome dog :)

  • was there another dog around?

  • ya, it had robbed his favorite toy.
