what a beautiful song and video, makes me feel happy listening to this, and nostalgic, even though I was born long after this song, but I remember listening to this already as a kid when I became a eurovision fan in the early 2000s and I loved this song back then already
these old eurovision songs are so great and they make me happy =)
@qsarap Well, if Judaism is shitty, that means that Christianity is also shitty, because Christianity started from Judaism! To remind you that Jesus was Jewish and not Christian... You should have more respect for other people's religion!
i love this song though i don't understand what it says
i used to listen to this as a kid and my grandmother loved this before she passed away because her best friend was one of the jews in greece that were taken away from their hourse to the holocaust by the nazi germans that invaded greece in the 40's.
She never saw her best friend again and this song really made her to remember her again.
@HellenicGreekBeauty It says: Its half the night and I am still waked, Dreams are comming... It is the silence before the storm, Lets go now... There, there I saw the rainbow in the cloude, There, there the morning come in white. Some where, we will find together the garden, The garden of love. There, there I heard a very old song, There, there is a moon, every night. Some where, we will find together the garden, The garden of love. . . .
@arikkurz lol im only in beginners hebrew so i cant understand anything, but with ur translation i do hear the keywrds like garden, morning, love, etc. and of course, sham XD
Already 11 years earlier, in 1962, first Jewish singer attended ESC. She was Marion Rung from Finland with song Tipi-Tii. She sung in Finnish, song is about glad and frolic spring time :)
youtube.com/watch?v=EBdQO2RtCKA
Marion Rung has been very popular singer in Finland and has performed abroad too. She attended ESC 2nd time at 1973 singing Tom Tom Tom
@tmprogram Listen body go learn history... ur faith is based on jewish fary tales, ur savior is Jewish Rabbi named Yeshuah (Jesus), ur art, music, science, math, etc books r all written by jews, ur movies r made by jews, ur scholarship is donated by jews. Without Jews u were nothing as u speak.
@shayshalom first off "body" you stupid ignorant piece of shit im not even christian and how is my art and etc. made by jews. you dont know shit u fuckin moron. and what do u mean without jews im nothing man fuck you thats why im not christion because it is a fairy tale just like jews are. before christianity the world was doing just fine
@tmprogram smells like shit...talk like shit....write like shit. Ohhhh it's shit. No Comments.... u r 2 ignorant 2 handle. visit a shrink someday... he will solve it all
@tmprogram Nobody made you a racist, you were one to begin with. Jews aren't a race, Judaism is a religion. The singer is 100% Jewish and 100% Israeli.
That lady conducting the Israeli entry is none other than Nurit Hirsch, who was the composer of "Somewhere". She, of course, composed and conducted the 1978 winner "A-Ba-Ni-Bi".
This is the beautiful and so unique Israel I miss so much!!!!! nowadays, we are just like the rest of Western World, an isolated island of the West in the bloody Midde East.... PEACE ON EARTH! AMEN.
@Laizlabonita Hi, just wanted to tell you that I am from Israel and I had up to here with politics. I love Turkey and I LOVE the Turkish entries to the Eurovision. Well done for the second place this year and I simply love Turkey 1996 and 1983 (Opera!)
It was Israel's moment to shine, mere months after the most horrific palestinian terrorist attack against the Israeli Olympic Wrestling team at Munich, West Germany. While Israel continues to shine until this day, winning world acclaim in movies, medical breakthroughs, scientific breakthroughs and miraculaous, earth-friendly/green inventions, all done by freedom loving, free people in their own land, the fake so-called 'palestinians' continue to bomb civilians wherever and whenever they can.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
im israeli but please dont belittle "so-called" "palestinians" and their politics as simple bombing for fun. why would they just bomb if their wasnt a purpose and something they are trying to achieve? palestinians are the people right now in greater israel that are not israeli citizens, they are living under a military occupation- soldiers everywhere, roadblocks, settlements cutting off farms from families, and lack of freedom. mostly heir leadership's fault, but still. 2 sides to the fight
We know here by the name of ILANIT, but she was born as Hana Drezner. She is one of the most famous Israeli singers, mainly in the late 60's and 70's but even after she is still known for her great voice and charming character.
(1) Halfway through the night and I'm still awake Dreams comes to my threshold It is merely the silence that comes before the strom Let us go now. There, There I saw a rainbow There, There the morning shines in white glare Out there, together we shall find the garden The garden of love. There, there I've heared an old, ancient song There, there the moon shines every night Out there, together we shall find the garden The garden of love.
(2) Winds envelopes my house tonight Grabbing it in all directions Beyond the clouds is where we're going Holding hands together. A new day is knocking on my heart's doors tonight And within it, you're approaching. Let us go out and seek the gardens of light blue In thier gates we shall pass. Out there, together we shall find the garden The garden of love. There..
Looked for this song since hearing it on Irish Radio a few weeks back, nice ballad. Might well have won in another year but the competition in '73 produced some other fabulous entries.
This has got to be one of the best Israeli entries of all time, along with 1979,1978,2005,2008,and 1983. Does anybody know where i can find this song?
@Polarpower1 darling . Palestinians They kill just us! You heard about the terrorist attacks? We did not do it ... Only the Palestinians! So you can not say we really killers We did not let any Jew to kill himself to that the Arabs will die and the arabs yes do it! So please stop fighting!
