I grew up with this and loads of other 80s music as a kid (my parents liked it too) and while I prefer old school rock like these guys, I'm open minded and enjoy some current music too. Sure it annoys me when someone who likes Nicki Minaj or something doesn't appreciate classics like this, lol... but I know there's other modern music which is good, and I don't stereotype.

Back in the 80's I guarantee you that when the music was new there were lots of people saying the same thing and how can you say it sucks 'objectively'. It's a very subjective topic. Unless you can honestly pick songs you like -and- say they're musically mundane or visa versa I doubt your potential to approach the subject objecively.
