In Walles they might have code that requires that the fire alarms be separated enough that say the buildings are connected but someone pulls the fire alarm in building 1 the sounders are programmed to actually sound in that building but broadcast a warning to building 2 that building 1 is having a fire alarm basically "Do not proceed beyond this point" means don't go into building x. in the building where the alarm was triggered it might say something like Attention! A fire has been reported"
yeah thanks. the words please remain prepared, mumble together. it's a weird sentence too. no offense to anyone, but that last sentence sounds too proper english english. why not say please prepare to evacuate. why need the remain.
These are GENT s-quad sensor sounders. In your halls (talybont), do any of the sensor sounders flash, is there any wall sounders and is there more than one tone in the building?
Yeah, that's in Wales, not too far from Caerphilly - so if you go back there, just set off the alarm in that uni building and you'll be able to hear it for real ;-)
that can get annoying

That's annoying
Rackabello 4 years ago
who makes that alarm? since it's a speaker strobe, i'm guessing it could be hooked up to an american voice evac panel.
pivotous 4 years ago
No thats a VA system and that is a flshing fire exit sign
brownguyrav2007 4 years ago
well, yeah, its a loudspeaker(2) attached to a sign with a strobe in it. put the 2 together, you've got a speaker strobe.

That's a cool fire alarm. Much less scary than the ones where I work, they deafen you. What does it sound like when it goes off properly?
