It is interesting that it took only two days for the Armalite M16 to to be replaced by a weapon which could be bought legally in Australia. From this point onwards the SKS became the weapon most frequently referred to in the media as the weapon Bryant had used. Then the SKS was replaced by the FN-FAL.
