Truth be told, it wouldn't matter if we did train and arm Al-Queda or funded Bin Laden personally. Hell, we supplied the Soviets to fight the Germans, when Stalin was worse than Hitler, and the eventual Soviet threat was greater than the German threat. Times change, and enemies change. I don't know why everyone gets their prick in a knot over it. I would have no problem admitting we trained and armed Al-Queda as it makes no diffence. But the facts are simple, we never did any such thing.

Even democrats such as Bill Moyers and CNN broadcaster Peter Bergen acknowledge the fact that it never happened. The US indirectly funneled money into Afghanistan through Pakistan. There was nothing personal about it.

Have you even been watching the news? Obama isn't pulling out until 2011. Iraq held peaceful elections, US and Iraqi casualties are down by over 90%. The troops that are being withdrawn from Iraq are going to Afghanistan. If you're so upset at this news, than why don't you go and join the "free" Iraqis?

If Obama all of a sudden said we were staying "until the job is done," you would see casualties up 90%. The reasons are so simple, but you really can't understand? Yes, Obama is taking our troops out of the illegal war for oil and putting them to fight the real enemy Al Queda (not the Iraqi people) in Afghan. Unfortunately we had armed/trained our own enemy.

Yes, with all the rapes, murders, and destruction our military was and is conducting against the Iraqis, I DID consider going to fight with the free Iraqis for maybe 1 month or so (as vacation time). The only problem was that doing such would have been considered treason against our then criminal regime and the Bush criminal regime had been operating lawlessly in violation of our Constitution. I would have loved to set a few roadside bombs, etc. to be able to say I helped.

The violence in Iraq is down since it became clear McCain was not going to win. Iraqis have been very attentive to U.S. elections and what was being said. They knew (correctly) that U.S. elections would mean us pulling out. No need to to put your life on the line when enemy is leaving. There were no legitimate elections in Iraq at all, only U.S. controlled puppet gov. YOU WILL SEE real elections or power struggle for a REAL Iraqi gov. once we pull out. Just like Vietnam.
