a goalie coming into the game as a hot goalie is still a hot goalie even though you let in 93 goals, he is considered hot untill the game is over, and plus you score on all those empty nets probably theres not even a goalie in there so yea the goalie is hot.

It isn't the announcers. Gary Thorne and Bill Clement are some of the best in the business. This is on EA, though. When you only put so many announcing lines into a game and then constantly replay them, they get stale no matter who the announcer is. It is also the makers of the game who are in charge of making sure that what the announcer says corresponds with what is going on in the game. All the announcers do is voiceovers. Stand in front of a mic, read off the lines, and then leave.
