  • who been watching Spartacus blood in sand? :-) Love that show.

  • 9 TIMES?? To my knowlage, Spartacus did defeat the romans in a series of battles but not 9 fucking times, he defeated Glaber and Verinius in 73 bc, he won at Picenum in 72 bc, at Mutina in 72 bc and the 1st Campania battle in 71 bc. The Romans won on Mount Garganus in 72bc although Crixus had 30,000men over the 2 legions of the consuls, Crassus won the 2nd Campania Battle over the Rebels and won the Battle of Silarus River, both in 71bc. At least i believe so..

  • @jiffypop86 Sorry guy, this happened in 70BC, the Romans had Gallic Helms and Lorica Segmentata by then.

  • I am Portugee Assswipecus, Father to a slain Son, Husband to a slain Wife and I will have my revenge..in this life or, after a glass of wine.

  • As a Gaellacian, Portuguese I believe in the "FREEDOM" of ALL Humanity. Spartacus would have "survived if Spartacus would have insisted on going East of the Southern Alps towards the Balkans regardless of the Majorities foolish Nonsense to go South and Fight ROME, which is now Impossible,DEATH is guarantteed, but Survival is Guarantteed if Spartacus Heads East of Southern Coast of the Alpes Mountains towards his Thrace-Balkans,that is the ONLY Choice , naval fleets are also now "exhausted"!!!!

  • Spartacus has FAILED his objective to get to Eastern South Alps to Thrace. Spartacus CANNOT take on, An Organised Empire Armies of the Mouth of the Lion of ROME!! Spartacus Knows he is Going into DEATH, Rome CANNOT be Defeated a Any Gladiator Army, it is the END Unless Spartacus heads back to the South Alpes Mountains and head East to Thrace or the Balkans or Via Ships of the Vaundals of Carthege or to the Balkans!!!!

  • Listen,We Galleacian-Portuguese of Galacia are NOT bad, We do Believe in FREEDOM of Humanity in the End!! We Galacia-Portugal ATLANTIDA have Our Allies of the Vaundals to DEFEAT Slavery-Crucifying ROME-Tyrants of Trojan-Escapes of Criminal Aeaneas. We can come in Our Navies Across the Mediteranaean to meet SPARTACUS and FREE SPARTACUS & his EnSlaved Europeans at the Boot of Italy to FREE-SPARTACUS VIA SHIP FLEETS of Both GREECE and Phonecian and ATLANTEAN-GALLAECIAN Ships Navies upon the Boot!!

  • He was a killing man

  • you wish

  • yeah he was a slave and a raider, big fucking deal. people worship this guy and bitch about christoper columbus, it gets old so fast seeing how people pick and choose their "heroes," none of who were ever near perfect.

  • Spartacus was a Thracian badass!

  • hes a legend ..shame andy whitehead passed before series2 of blood and sand..He was made for that part..RIP SPARTAN !!!!!!

  • Thanks for airing! History Channel did a good job with this..

  • Thanks for the upload

  • Spartacus himself had slaves. Makes you think...

  • @Mistermax30 after he was a slave

  • @Mistermax30 of course he did, roman soldier slaves.

  • @Mistermax30 where you know this from?????

  • @Mistermax30 Citation please.

  • @Mistermax30 Where the hell did you get that crap ? No he didn't. He was a Roman auxillary, then a slave for whatever reason.

  • @PhilK112 I've spoken to two historians who verified that Spartacus in fact had his own retainer of slaves. Trying to reconcile a historical figure with a character in a television series usually isn't a good idea, dramatic portrayals usually have an agenda...

  • @Mistermax30 Ywo historians agreeing is rare, thats true. But tell me - how the hell could he AFFORD two slaves for a start, being a mere auxillary - secondly, virtually NOTHING is known of his early life before the slave breakout.

    IT IS GUESSWORK.

    And bad guesswork at that.

  • @PhilK112 He probably had far more than two slaves, I'm thinking a fairly large number of them. I am referring to Spartacus on campaign, not to his earlier life as a poor auxiliary. Lots of loot was to be had as his power grew, and it seems as if he wanted a taste of the good life, ie, having plenty of wealth and a few decent slaves...

  • @Mistermax30 Let's agree to disagree. I find this too silly for words. You are saying he had much more than two slaves, which is akin to saying that Adolf Hitler led a second life as a spy for the allies.

    Too daft for words.

The nearest he came was to force some of the Romans he captured to play the part of slaves to show them what its like. Hardly the same thing.

  • @PhilK112 Think about it. A leader of a huge conglomerate force made out of camp followers, peasants, and ex-gladiators. While they weren't dodging Roman authorities or fighting them, they had countless opportunities to accrue captured wealth. How is it hard to believe that Spartacus wasn't tempted into "living the good life", for the first time in his life, by taking a few slaves for himself, amongst other things...

  • Spartacus is a Hero!

  • He should have left his greedy men to fight on their own and gone home, like he wanted to in the beginning. The age old story; greed was their undoing.

  • In Greek: Spartakos

  • @djmpvae no one cares
