the jem555 is a more affordable model of the jems, which makes it slightly cheaper built(eg, the neck wood, the inlays, no scalloped frets, made in korea rather than japan i think)
what is the first shape he's playing?? It sounds like octave but it looks like he's using all his fingers...he uses it a lot when he plays live too, i need to know!!

Yeah. It's playing a note on the 6th string and the next octave above. He's using the rest of his fingers to mute the strings in between and around.
