@xCorrosive hey...i don't hav a mixer...i'm usin' a Lexicon Lambda as my recording device...go check it out online. yup...and it provides phantom power for the condenser mic. in my opinion...in a live setting, the whole drum kit needs to have a full drum mic set-up...not juz one condenser.
@xCorrosive yeah...i thought u meant juz usin' one condenser in a live setting...haha. yup the condensers r usually used as overheads along with the whole drum mic set-up.
thanks for the sample of the pro 37, could you possibly do another, im realy interested in this mic and there is practically no other good demos, thanx
@1withmyself hey no problem...i might put up one more soon...juz watch out for it! anyway, i seriously recommend it...it's only one mic n it picks up ALL the sound of every part of my drums.
sounds damn good just from 1 condenser mic!!!!

condenser mics are necessary for live use but that's for specific things like hi hats.

@AphoticAgony haha yup...and in this case, it works really well for me as it picks up the sound of my whole kit quite nicely.

Really impressive sound!!! Where was the microphone positioned for that recording? Is that the stand for it I see behind the hi hat there?
scambies 1 year ago
@scambies haha yup that's the mic stand!...i positioned the mic above the whole kit in the middle.

What do you have for a mixer? It needs phantom power? Would you recommend in a live setting?

@xCorrosive
condenser mics are too sensitive for live playing
that's what i was told at guitar center

@prayersofanathema
It's actually true though, well, at least for vocals. A big condenser microphone will create more feedback than a dynamic
