Jose Gonzalez sings it softly, but he doesn't sound like he's whispering it the way you do. You're a very good guitar player, but try singing it again in a calm tone rather than a whispering tone...... I will say nothing about the bowl haircut.

the way you singing is great because... it just about how Jose done his cover. you don't have to be great singer but if you can keep it soft, while keeping your voice in key it can sound very very good
