  • CBHS is going going competitive for sure this year! you will see them at nationals competing with a large coed varsity squad! hopefully to come back as good as they left! so wish them luck that they will continue this cheerleading legacy!

  • yes! i miss them

they are the best coed high school team! it sucks that they weren't able to compete past few years..they produce such great athletes for college cheer teams

  • wtf? thats one kickass high school

  • Ive always followed CBHS since I was little, and every year I would look forward to catch them on ESPN... WHERE HAVE THEY BEEN!? come someone fill me in pleasssse!!

  • They have a small coed team nowadays, but they choose to no longer compete. I have heard many rumors that they are coming back, but my friends that actually cheered there in HS say no chance. Stay tuned, I hope that they do come back. I've only seen them perform LIVE, like twice. I would kill to see them compete again. Even if it meant my job would get a whole lot HARDER!

  • Sptrix and cheercoachmark ... thanks for having our back! Obviously this Cheerguy7 has NO IDEA how hard it is to have a coed team, let alone be competitive. This is proven by CBHS, BGHS and Craigmont. Where are these teams? Only 5 years ago all three were around and dominant, now they dont exist anymore. Consistently fielding a coed team is hard work and extremely challenging. Im with Mark here, I challenge you to field a coed team and come down to UCA. I think it'll open your eyes!

  • Our program has nothing but respect for Chris Darby and CBHS. They set the standard for HS COED cheerleading, and we're working hard to live up to that standard. We'd love to see them come back -- not for the competition, but for what they bring to the Large Coed Division. And maybe Paul Boyce wants to bring Cordova back, too, just to make it REALLY interesting.

  • Steve, I WISH that would happen. THAT would not only be interesting - it would be EXCITING! C'Mon fellas, bring those teams back!

  • I saw where CBHS had a small co-ed squad this year, I think. If they are rumored to make a comeback next year, they will give Graves County and Sun Prairie a run for their money.

  • I disagree. I think Sun Prairie is a flash in the pan and in a couple of years we wont even see them anymore. Once CBHS comes back it's going to be a one team show and everybody will be fighting for second.

  • You obviously don't follow UCA LG Coed very closely. Sun Prairie has had a large coed team for years, and has been in the FINALS at UCA every year for the past 5 years. Can you list the other Lg Coed teams that have done that? The list is short: Lewisville & Brother Martin. Graves has only the past 4 years. Bowling Green & CBHS had long steaks in finals, but they both hung it up. Don't sleep on Sun Prairie. They lose a bunch of seniors this year, but they are't gonna just fall off. You watch.

  • Well, you obviously don't understand how difficult it is to even HAVE a large coed team. LG Coed is the hardest division to field a team. Not the most competitive from a numbers standpoint, but the most difficult to win. You just say "hit your stunts." At UCA you must have UNASSISTED COED STUNTS to win. And if it were as easy as you say, why don't you bring a coed team next year to compete against Graves & Sun Prairie... We'll be waiting.

  • Cheerguy . . .I appreciate your opinions. CBHS was a great team, and no one is questioning that. Maybe we could argue that Century HS or Craigmont also would have won this year, but the fact remains that you can only win if you show up. I agree with Mark that fielding a Large Coed team is difficult, and we've done that since 1997. Holding your own stunts is imperative, and we learned the hard way. I'd encourage you to bring a Large Coed team to UCA -- we need all we can get. Peace.

  • they could win this year with that routine!!

  • I miss them so much. I wish they would make a come back. CBHS and Graves County would go at it year in and year out.

  • From what I hear, CBHS is coming back in '09. So, hopefully, you will get your wish!

  • the best ....no shyt about it..

  • cbhs will always be the best in my book

  • RIP CBHS
