MM was definitely an A lister but globally Bardot was more adored, made more headlines and was way more influential in terms of having girls around the world copy her style. In the early and mid 50's however MM didn't really have a rival and BB was too young and not famous enough to compete with MM. It's amazing that BB never made 1 hollywood movie and was a huge international star!
