Great review as always! Your British accent was remarkably horrible though. lol My dad owns a Jag XF and the worst part of the car is the infotaiment center. I feels like the OS is Windows 95 or something. I like the current styling of Jaguars, but there's still something missing. There just seems to be too many "afterthoughts" when they develop them. Too many for a $50K+ car at least.

I owned a first-generation XK and it was perfectly reliable apart from some issues with the convertible top whose development was outsourced to another company. The XJ sedans have been rock-solid since the early 80s.
The only thing hurting Jaguar these days in terms of reliability is the willingness of people to give credence to lazy stereotypes.
The best about this review is when Emme trying to fit in the back seat of the Jaguar. I rewind it a couple times laughing silly. Keep it up Emme and Roadfly!!

great review think you guys should have waited for the facelift version but good review and should have been the full fat xkr. i know ive moaned a little but this is my only real complaint is that accent bloody hell sorry but you didnt pull off the accent *cringe* tho dont worry people trying to do a london accent not english (as many areas of england have different accents) can never get it right even in hollywood never heard a great or good try at one from someone not from the uk

Emme and Roadfly I need an opinion please. I am thinking of buying a used Land Rover LR3 in the $25k-$30k price range. My reasons are that me and my family live in the Colorado rockies and like to drive over the exciting mountain pass roads but still want a vehicle that rides and drives great on the turny mountain paved roads. We need the 7 passenger seating and want that bit of luxury. I am pretty sick of, sorry to say, American build quality, thats why I am looking at LR, your opinion?
The LRs are definitely great off road cars and they handle well on the street too. They are, however, quite thirsty and they are not well known for reliability. I'd definitely look for one that is still under warranty. I used to drive my granddad's old Bronco thru Colorado and my dad lives in Buena Vista and takes the baja out all the time. I love Colorado!

Jaguar is owned 100% by an Indian car-maker TATA. Its really an Indian car built in the UK. Calling it British is a joke!! Please give credit to TATA for reviving Jag and Land Rover and making it profitable.
That engine is not great, 385 hp from a 5.0L V8? I expected more and I know they have a version with more HP but BMW got 395 HP from their 2003 M5!! Not comparing but that technology was almost 10 yrs ago. I expected more
@nature10879 the engine in the jag would probably have been tuned for GT cruising and its lovely humming noise, and to produce power when needed, just because its got a V8 doesnt mean Jaguar has to extract every single BHP from it, otherwise it would just be a super performance vehichle with seriously low fuel economy, which would completely avoid the grand tourer idea of the car.
Emme, you really look great in that car which is probably one of the most sexy cars out there in it's class. That interior is great too, quality materials and just about everything is super quality with no cheap plastics. I am glad you reviewed it and no one else from your team. I appreciated the detailed comments about the interior--and then actually showing us the different stitching... I wonder why Jag did that... Also, the back seat info was important; how does it compare to a 911 or other 2+2? My only other comment is that the video editing at the start was a little rough--too fast around the car, the transitions were brutal... but I am just nit-picking!

I don't like the colour of the interior, I actually hate the 'classic' Jaguar cream/brown leather colour, it reminds me of an hearing aid or maybe an old German camping kettle. I don't own either item but I'm sure they're that colour and I wouldn't want to sit in either.

Such a funny review Emme! I drove an older XK convertible, and thought the same about the material textures. I see that the nav screen is still the same old one as before. Great engine and handling though. Decided on a Cayman S instead. The Jag has so much soul.
Nice review & I got to see this car at the LA Auto show. I can't wait to see how this compares with the BMW M6 (upcoming) and the Mercedes Benz SLS AMG.

I don't like the colour of the interior, I actually hate the 'classic' Jaguar cream/brown leather colour, it reminds me of an hearing aid or maybe an old German camping kettle. I don't own either item but I'm sure they're that colour and I wouldn't want to sit in either.

Such a funny review Emme! I drove an older XK convertible, and thought the same about the material textures. I see that the nav screen is still the same old one as before. Great engine and handling though. Decided on a Cayman S instead. The Jag has so much soul.

I am a BMW guy, but I really prefer this to new 6 series. Jag is so cool and elegant, such presence and they are less to be found on the road, so thumbs up ;)
