It's sort of a macho thing for crabs. He is showing off his big claw. The funny thing is if you stand in front of the tank and make the same motions he will start doing it too to compete with you.

@RBLXBurntoast78 I have a filter in mine. I'm not sure if you have to have one but if you don't you will probably be changing the water a lot.

the water needs to be alot deeper than that, and he will need a turtle dock and yeh some food will do him, and some feeding fish.

It's a FIDDLER crab. MALE they do that to attract females. The male with the biggest and most colorful claws get to mate. You have a horny crab.
