FF games are always really bizarre worlds. It stays that way 'til you grow accustomed to it, with each and every new title (in my opinion).

As for the ease of the fighting; this is the begining of the game. It does get more difficult, but once you've learnt the game dynamics then yeah... pretty easy. It's just like an interactive movie.

sadly even though i hate FF13-2's battle style... if you can call it that all 13 was basically auto battle anyhow still love the story from 13 so I wont be watching this play through till I beat the game myself (which wont be a long time seeing i dont plan on buying it anytime soon lawl) GL to Jeff this game shouldnt be too hard.. but I can never tell when it comes to Jess (also to everyone complaining it's like a movie.. From what ive seen and heard, 13-2 is by far a better experience. However it is still in the same vibe as 13, which imo was the worst final fantasy to date.

From those games I liked final fantasy 8 the best story wise because i could immerse myself in the main character and i actually really enjoyed the whole romance that was going on. The best final fantasy game is 9, if you also count gameplay. The stories in these games are never bad, but 13 was by far the least interesting. IMO it has only 2 arcs: cocoon and pulse where as most other FF games have 4 or more distinct arcs.
