is it hard to pedal when you are using it as a bicycle? how is the horn, please make more vids im really interested in these mopeds, but i don't know to much about them.
couple questions...1.)when you take the air filter off is there an actual filter or just a metal thing with some plastic thing with three holes behind it? 2.)Does your rear wheel make a clanking noise? like inside the gear box?
@beastmode1742 state pending....you shouldnt rely on youtube as a reliable source...just go online and look up the state statutes and laws on mopeds for your state...
Thank you for this is a useful review. When a student at UC Berkeley in 1969 I bought a Ciao and ran for 8 years when it was stolen in Charleston SC with 55,000+ miles. It needed almost no repairs and ran perfectly for those eight years. Now in Beckley WV at age 69 I found a 1978 Bravo with under 500 miles. Yes, it runs well, and I have even found a local mechanic to service it. I thought about a tfr, but worried about Indian reliability. Has yours held up? Do you think it will go 55K?
@compchap im not sure about 55,000, but i have put almost 800 miles on it, with no problems at all. Its a long way to go, but its holding up great so far.
although that bike is in very good condition, i think $500 is way too steep for any stock kinetic that isn't brand-new.
@ P2GearsOfWar: "why did u want to get what was literally a moped rather than a scooter?" mopeds are VERY cool in their own right. however, if you have to ask, you may never understand.
i like it exceept umm i have the same one but mine is a 99 and no turning signals also it doesnt start like yours and the most thing i think is funny is that i got mine for 300 and it only had 30 miles beacause it was sitting in a barn for 11 years so just saying i liked ur vid

lever on left handlebar is decompression, not a choke. the decompression releases the compression from head. the choke is located on the carburetor and increases the flow of fuel into the carb.
i just got one of these for free. mine is black, and modified to go over 90cc. i dont need a key to start it, i just pedal/walk it till it starts. a fellow kinetic rider!
for two reasons. I like the look of mopeds, and if i would have gotten a scooter, i would have needed a motorcycle license to use it. Moped do not require a motorcycle license in my state
in connecticut the moped must be under 2 brake horse power and have no more than a 50cc engine. Also it must have pedals since the police catagorize it as a bike with a helper motor.
Very cool! When I was younger, I had a JAWA. My friend's dad started it up for me and it was great. I bought it and got it going once and never got it started again
:( They're gone now
So where is your plate young man??
;)
Not sure what it's like with your laws but in Canada last time I checked, you needed a moped plate, a full G liscence and insurance.
Have fun, be safe....don't forget to buckleup....no wait, try to go limp in the event of a crash.
Christies!!! You paid $500! I just bought one for $40. Great video though!

SLOW DOWN THE CAMERA MOVEMENT!!!!
WOW, slow way down. Move the camera very slowly.
Do you really think this looks good like this?
You knowledge and desire to share this review are great but it really helps to have another person filming while you talk.
That and SLOW DOWN the camera movement.

So you don't need any licence? I live in the UK and we need atleast a provisional moped license to ride a 50cc scooter or Moped
P2GearsOfWar 2 years ago
here in Connecticut, anything 50cc and under, a license is not needed.
