For this show, the casino's dont go off until a few seconds in. it gives the illusion of a real alien attack happening... As though all of a sudden the casinos malfunction or something.
Actually, i have seen the shows go with the lights on. the effect isnt as good. usually they will run a test of the screen before the shows start, and they will do it with the lights on. it is interesting to see.
