wow you get awsome money for your market lambs...I show market lambs and breeding ews and at auctions I cant get anything for my market lambs like $800 bucks is a big deal here in Maine. But we get alot for our beef steers my grand reserve angus went for $3,700
Yeah, well we actually don't make near as much money as those in the midwest. This was pretty good for a bad year in buying and few buyers. The grand steer went for $10,000.
WOW, $3000 i can barely make $1000, including top offs!!!!!

I show lambs at ESCJF and last year my lamb was 148lb and sold for $518 with only two bidders. Mine won nothing special.

I don't think she's doing the lamb much favor aesthetically by pulling/pushing his neck back so far. I bet it's uncomfortable for him.

You know, I'm not sure. I heard it may or may not be from JC MacDonald. I couldn't tell you.

How much did your steer weigh KayKay?
This girl got $3k for a lamb that probably weighed about 135lbs give or take.
Your steer weighed what 1400lbs?
Do the math.
I'd say she came out ahead of you.
Besides, theres nothing I hate worse than when some brat kid is rewarded for mediocrity such as with an animal that couldnt even win its class!
The last lamb in our fair auction sold for $9lb to a group of 12 people who pooled together to buy the kids project.
Pathetic!
