My family remember this day.
The Queen was supposed to open the Centre, but was ill, so Philip did it.
My Mum got the day off school for it.
The Centre is supposed to be getting refurbished, but hardly anybody uses it anymore.

I remember being taken down to the High Street by our School Teacher to wave a flag at Prince Philip. I remember the car passing. I was six.
